Postseason CFP and bowl matchups will be announced on Sunday. 247Sports will continue to update these projections by the hour as invites and new intel trickles in. Our matchups are based on the bowl selection process with regards to 2019-20 specific tie-ins and league guidelines.

Citrus Bowl: Michigan vs. Alabama
Outback Bowl: Minnesota vs. Auburn
Gator Bowl: Indiana vs. Kentucky



247Sports intel: The Citrus Bowl gets its pick of available SEC and Big Ten teams after New Year's Six selections are made and the draw of a potential Michigan-Alabama battle is a no-brainer. An interesting note to the Citrus Bowl's preferred teams — final rankings won't matter. The Citrus could take Auburn over Alabama, but that seems unlikely.

NEW YEAR'S SIX BOWL PROJECTIONS

Orange Bowl: Virginia vs. Florida
Rose Bowl: Penn State vs. Oregon
Sugar Bowl: Baylor vs. Georgia
Cotton Bowl: Utah vs. Memphis

247Sports intel: With Alabama taking a major tumble in Tuesday's latest Playoff rankings, the New Year's Six is out of the picture for the Crimson Tide as the SEC's fifth highest-ranked team. As the first teams out of the Playoff, Baylor and Georgia will likely square off in the Sugar Bowl — Big 12 runner-up vs. SEC runner-up. Alabama's move out of the Orange Bowl pushes Florida to that spot and gets Utah to the Cotton vs. Memphis.
