We went 1-7 in SEC series last season. Now we're 0-1 to start this year and our remaining series are against #6 Texas A&M, #13 Georgia, #4 LSU, #1 Oklahoma, #3 Florida, Missouri, and #9 South Carolina. Having back to back losing seasons in conference should absolutely get Murphy fired.

Yes and no. He wont get fired for any reason after this season. He may just fade away and retire like Habez did a few years ago. But no way would the AD fire him one year removed from going to OKC. But I am in agreement with you that it is time to move on. The boosters are this program are former players and they love him and would certainly have the ear of our AD

A tremendous challenge and a tremendous opportunity…. to borrow a quote from a former coach

He can go to OKC every single year and I still want him fired because it is clear he will NEVER win another championship.

Good thing not a single softball booster or player could cost Byrne his job. His job is to put Alabama in the best possible position to succeed and that is not with Pat Murphy as head coach.

This team continues to drop every week in the polls. Sad.

You’re delusional then. There are only 3 other active HCs with national championships.

His lone national championship (he's had the roster to win several more but he's a shite in-game coach) won't mean jack shite when he rides this team to a bottom 3rd of the SEC finish this season. The game passed him by years ago. His arse deserves to be fired.

lost 5-2 after being up 2-0. A seldom used pitcher was brought in by The Gut to stop things after it got 2-2 and she gave up a runner then a three run bomb. We had plenty of runners on and very weak at bats with infield pops up left them stranded. Under 500 in the SEC is very realistic. I do like these great matchups in mid week though

This is how Murphy's teams would have been doing all along without top shelf pitchers. His career has been completely propped up by the best pitchers in the country clinging to him for some strange reason.

The people doing the game tonight mentioned that they dont have that fire breather who could get the K when it was needed.
