Really happy for Jalen. He proved a lot of people wrong for at least one game today.

Jalen Hurts has joined Lamar Jackson as the only players since at least 1950 to have 100+ rush yards in their 1st career QB start

Hurts & Miles Sanders both had 100 rush yds, snapping the Saints streak of 50 games without allowing a 100-yd rusher (4th longest streak since 1950)

His story is awesome. From zero star recruit to late walk on to undrafted. People kept doubting him at every level but he proved them wrong again and again. Glad to see him succeed.

Howie Long picked Jalen as his performer of the day. Well deserved .
So happy for Hurts.

By the way Terry Bradshaw picked Derrick Henry.

Don Hutson having 1,000 yards with the number of games they played and rudimentary passing schemes is remarkable.

The Packers didn't have a rudimentary passing scheme by the standards of the time though, which is why he was so effective. Don Hutson is generally seen as the father of the modern route tree. Also he was pretty big and extremely athletic by the standards of the time. Put those two together and he presented a lot of challenges that the DBs of the day had never dealt with before.

Wonder how he faked a broken hand.

I feel for mark ingram...running back by committee in baltimore. Henry is the prime example of how rb's work.
