Smitty looks great today. So smooth. I love Hurts but Smith needs a better QB to succeed. Only 162 yards and 116 were to Smith.

Good question. He's going to have the brittle tag...and you can't really argue with it.

I'm betting guys like Favre played through little crap that keeps players out these days.

Rumor is he wanted to play but the coaches held him out.

He already has that tag. He earned that while at Bama.

Broken bones, double ankle surgery, etc.

Devonta Smith had 116 yards and 1 TD today. Second 100 yard game.

quote:

DeVonta Smith is the first @Eagles player with a 100+ yard receiving performance within his first 4 career games since Jeremy Maclin in 2009 (also 4th game).

Mac is taking some heat about the "dirty" ankle grab on the DL after the fumble. I can't believe how much drama people are trying to milk this for. Mac grabbed his leg thinking he was keeping him from recovering the fumble...the dude twisted himself. Laughable "controversy"

He's a rookie quarterback from Alabama who was suppose to not be very good. The people that kept saying that and seeing him do good can't stand it and will do anything to make him look bad.

Markus Spears the LSU homer is the worst.

I'm kind of shocked that people are making that out to be such a big deal. He fumbled, and tried to stop the guy from going after the ball. Mac is a rookie QB, and Burns is a big arse linebacker, and he let little ol Mac hurt him by grabbing his leg. Dude should be embarrassed if anything.

Spears is a big ol bitch.

Biggest thing I got from all that drama is that NFL linebackers are scared of a rookie QB from Alabama.

One of the most manufactured controversies imaginable even in an NFL season already full to the brim with controversy.

Burns ankle sure didn't seem to be hurting him too much when he kicked the Patriots RB in the back of the head later in the game.

Mac Jones on Brian Burns Play

quote:

"After I got hit pretty hard, I didn't really know what was going on. I thought he had the ball. It's my job to try to make the tackle. That was pretty much it," Jones said in his weekly interview on sports radio WEEI's "Merloni and Fauria" program.

"Obviously, when you get up and see the ball is actually down the field a little bit more -- it's just a bang-bang play. I didn't mean to hurt anybody or anything like that. I was just trying to tackle him and make the play, because I didn't really know what was going on."
