Not sure what the big deal was if he wasn't playing in the game, was out for the season and had no inside info on the games.
Unless he signed something saying he can't gamble on games he isn't participating in and has no inside knowledge of the game he gambled on, how does he get a one year suspension. Seems extreme.

Ridley just got caught.

So how did Calvin Ridley get busted? He was in Florida, and used the only gambling app legal in the state. The app notified a compliance company the NFL has hired called Genius for this kind of thing.
That he was out of state was a factor in Ridley's activity being flagged.
Obviously incredibly dumb on his part. Traded $1500 for $11M (his contract next year).
The NFL is making an example out of him. Things like domestic violence and sexual assault are nothing much but this. Big deal to them

In addition he bet on the Falcons to win not lose despite being him being out
I doubt the NFL budges much or any on this though

Is this a Bama WR problem? Not being able to handle money and fame? Thought they were taught these things before they left school? Probably slept through the lecture.
WR receivers as a group seem to get into more such crap in the NFL than other positions. Maybe it’s just my perception.

Russell Wilson to the Broncos. Jerry Jeudy might have a monster year

On twitter Jeudy went from unhappy (Rodgers not to being traded) to very happy with this

Not the most exciting team to be at

Yeah...yuck. was hoping Coop would end up in New England or Miami...both were mentioned in speculation.
I know Cleveland has gotten a little better of late, but it's never been a glamour franchise. He was traded so he really didn't get a choice. I think Coop is a legit WR1...but I'm not sure he's a $20 million a year guy...but I guess that amount makes even Cleveland look better.

Not many wanted to pay that salary, hence Cleveland.

Not a Baker Mayfield fan as far as him being a starting qb. He tends to panic when the game is on the line. Doubt he'll have much time to throw deep to Coop.

Are there any Bama WRs with a decent QB? Maybe Tua and Jaylen?
Would love to see Jamo go to the Pats.

Waddle is probably fine with Tua because he throws a lot of quick short throws. The Dolphins utilize Waddle heavily.
But Smith is not in the best situation for a receiver. The Eagles are very run heavy and Eagles fans always complain about Hurts not throwing to a wide open Smith.

Jeudy will now have Russell Wilson... expect a breakout season from him.
I think New England goes LB or CB in round one and maybe gets Metchie in rounds 2-3. Slade would be a good late round pick for them. They may go the FA route for an immediate WR1 upgrade...but with Coop traded to Cleveland, seems to be a weak WR FA group.

Patriots traded OLB Chase Winovich to the Browns in exchange for Mack Wilson.

Nice. Hightower passing the torch to Mack. They gonna kill Mack on the radio this afternoon though

Mack can get a fresh start in New England hopefully. Would like to see Hightower sign a one year extension with the Pats, but I guess he could walk. He's not the same player as 4-5 years ago, but it's hard to replace that leadership and he's still a starting quality LB.

Levi Wallace signed a 2 yr/$8m deal with Steelers.
from intramurals, to walk-on, to starter with scholly, to UDFA, to starting most of last 4 years, and now earned that big check.
Proud of Levi!
