An observation from another sport: although they swim in separate heats, pre-puberty a high caliber girl swimmer can usually outswim a high caliber male swimmer. Then puberty hits and it flips rather dramatically. But to say they don’t belong in sports together pre-puberty is a little silly.

They are 11-12 having a blast.
Who cares?
She’s a badass.

All the parents and coaches at this thing seem cool as ice. Follow suit.

I don't see what puberty has to do with it.
It's confusing to the children. Parents are supposed to do what's best for their children-not knowingly confuse them.

Girls have their own sports. They don't belong in boy's sports.

Ohh.... her situation is different. Because she's good?

Hypocrisy.

Because. It. Confuses. The. Child.

Would you feel the same about a boy playing on a girl's softball team? Why not? They just wanna have fun after all.
That's okay if you think this. But it makes you a hypocrite.

The issue is far beyond pure athletic ability. And besides that, ALL cross gender athletics need to be stopped. I bet you would not support boys being on little girls teams. The hypocrisy in this is so obvious.

Well, yeah. The purpose of sex divisions in sports is not to keep girls from beating boys. It’s to make sure girls have a fair place to compete. If a girl is good enough to step onto the baseball diamond and beat boys under their rules, let her play. That’s equality of opportunity. But preserving a female division recognizes that biological sex can create meaningful competitive advantages. That’s fairness of competition and that’s what the argument is all about with the WNBA and Olympic Sports currently. Those ideas aren’t enemies. They’re two sides of the same principle.

This isn’t the “Boys” Little League World Series. Girls have played little league baseball and in the LLWS for a long time. She also seems like a pretty well adjusted young lady that isn’t confused about anything. She earned the spot.

As long as it’s not a cheap stunt like the Vandy kicker….

This is why your stance will never fly. All I have to do is reverse your own words. "If a male is good enough to step onto the field and beat girls under their rules, let him play." Then you'll say that's wrong. Under your logic, sexes should be allowed to cross sports if they are good enough to compete.

Quit being dense.

The difference really isn’t that complicated. Girls’ sports exist because girls need a protected division to compete fairly. Boys’ sports don’t exist because boys need protection from girls. If a girl can walk onto the field, play by the exact same rules, and beat the boys, good for her. She earned it.

Pretending those two situations are interchangeable just ignores the entire reason girls’ sports exist in the first place.

Once again, this isn’t the “Boys” Little League World Series. Just like college football isn’t “men’s” college football. If Kathy Ireland was at UA and could drill 50 yard FGs, she’d be on the team.

This is so stupid. Everyone is rallying around this young girl and the team. They are great reps for our state. Girls have played in the LLWS before and people weren’t crying about it like y’all are.

If you can't see the hypocrisy in your perspective, I can't help you. You are also completely missing the bigger issues between why the sexes need to be separate on BOTH sides in sports. But there is no sense in discussing it with you. Its obviously over your head when you can't understand the simple things.

LOL. Don’t be such a simp and run away because you can’t defend your position.

There’s no hypocrisy here because this event and little league baseball aren’t exclusive to just boys and haven’t been for decades.

When does the Girl’s Baseball Little League World Series begin that Rasmus can play in instead? Softball doesn’t count. There isn’t another avenue for her to display her talent that she got from her dad & uncle.

You are the one calling people simp because you disagree with them. I can easily defend my belief but you will not accept it because we have different views. .....Again there is no running away because there is no discussion to be had. We have completely opposing perspectives and there is no middle ground to meet on. If you can't see any hypocrisy in your stance, there is nothing further to discuss.

You haven’t answered the question. When’s the Women’s Little League Baseball World Series? She’s a talented baseball player. Where’s she supposed to be relegated to?

Sorry she triggers you so much. Don’t worry though. It’ll be over in a few days and more than likely she won’t be playing baseball long term because she won’t be able to keep up with boys physically.

The sexual dimorphism in humans is far less pronounced in preteens. Hell, sometimes a girl may be the tallest kid in the grade around that age.

Patrick Murphy and Co. need to send the house for Rasmus when her recruiting class comes on the clock.

Looks like she hasn't really talked about any other softball teams than Oklahoma. Oof.

You are clueless if you do not understand your own question holds zero merit.

Her family are Auburn fans I’d bet due to one of the Rasmus boys playing there and Phenix City. However, she’d be a great player wherever but possibly a champion at Alabama.

Still not answering question. Haha. It should be pretty simple to answer since you think she’s supposed to be on the girl’s team.
