Alabama Finishes Fifth in Stroke Play, Will Meet San Diego State Wednesday in Jackson T. Stephens Cup Finale
The Alabama men's golf team closed out the stroke play portion of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup Tuesday afternoon, finishing in fifth place overall with a team total of 885 (292-290-303). As a result, the Crimson Tide will take on sixth-place San Diego State in head-to-head match play in Wednesday's finale.
Thomas Ponder led the way for Alabama as he tied for fifth overall – his first career top-five finish – with a 54-hole total of 3-over par 219 (72-73-74) on the par 72, 7,500-yard Alotian Golf Club.
No. 14 Notre Dame (856) ran away with the team stroke play title, finishing 20 shots better than second-place No. 2 Arkansas (876). The Fighting Irish and Razorbacks will play for the overall championship in their matchup Wednesday. Florida State (880) will take on Arizona (880) for third place.

Crimson Tide Women’s Golf Concludes Fall Campaign at The Ally
Alabama will compete against 10 teams at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss.
The No. 14 University of Alabama women's golf team has produced a trio of top-five finishes to begin the fall season and it will have a chance to continue that streak as it competes at The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club (par 72, 6,353 yards) in West Point, Miss., Oct. 25-27.
The tournament, which is the last of four for the Crimson Tide this fall, features 11 teams, including five teams ranked in Golfstat's top 25. The field consists of No. 14 Alabama, No. 3 Arkansas, Auburn, No. 7 Florida, host Mississippi State, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, No. 12 TCU, Tennessee, No. 16 Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
Tee times will begin Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. CT, while Wednesday will feature a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT.

In case you're counting, she's birdied 50% of her two rounds (18 birdies).

Nicholas Dunlap of Huntsville, Alabama, was named the top male junior golfer in the world with the American Junior Golf Association’s Rolex Junior Player of the Year award. Megha Ganne of Holmdel, New Jersey, earned the top honor in the Girls Division and joins Dunlap on a historical list of Rolex Junior Players of the Year: Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods, Morgan Pressel, Paula Creamer, Ariya Jutanugarn and Inbee Park.
Dunlap becomes the first Alabama native to receive Rolex Junior Player of the Year honors in the Boys Division, while Ganne is the first New Jersey native to earn top honors in either division. Both juniors are also honored as first team Rolex Junior All-Americans with this distinction.

Standout College Golfer Charlie Nikitas Signs to Join Alabama Men’s Golf Team this Spring
Alabama head men's golf coach Jay Seawell announced that Charlie Nikitas, a four-year letterwinner and three-time All-Mid-American Conference performer across four years of competing at Miami (Ohio). Nikitas be a graduate transfer at the University of Alabama and will be eligible to compete immediately for the Crimson Tide this spring.
Nikitas was a two-time All-MAC honoree as a freshman, earning the 2018 MAC Freshman of the Year and second team all-conference honors. The following season, he was named All-MAC First Team after leading the Redhawks stroke average.
