Alabama Women’s Golf Continues Fall Season at Mason Rudolph Championship

The Crimson Tide will meet 14 teams at the Vanderbilt Legends Club - North Course in Franklin, Tenn.

Less than two weeks after finishing in fourth place at one the most stacked tournaments of the regular season, the No. 14 University of Alabama women's golf team is back on the road to face another touted field. The Crimson Tide is set to compete at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn., Sept. 24-26, for its second of four tournaments this fall.

Fifteen teams will compete at the Vanderbilt Legends Club - North Course (par 72, 6,475 yards), including five teams ranked in the Women's Golf Coaches Association Top 25. Those teams are No. 14 Alabama, No. 17 Auburn, Chattanooga, Clemson, No. 10 Florida, Kentucky, No. 11 Georgia, Louisville, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Northwestern, No. 22 Oregon, Ohio State, hosts Vanderbilt and Washington.

The teams will participate in a five-count-four, stroke-play format, with Alabama teeing off alongside Vanderbilt and Mississippi State at 8:30 a.m. CT Friday, off hole No. 1.

Mack, Moresco Finish in Top 10, Crimson Tide Garners Second Place at Mason Rudolph Championship

The University of Alabama women's golf team concluded the final round at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club (North Course) in Franklin, Tenn. Sunday, finishing the second tournament of the season as runner ups on a 12-under-par 852 tournament total. It marks the program's lowest team score of the regular season since recording a 45-under-par 807 at the Schooner Fall Classic Sept. 28-30, 2018.

Alabama Men’s Golf Set to Welcome New Event to Shoal Creek with SEC Match Play Hosted by Jerry Pate

All 14 SEC teams guaranteed four matches throughout the three-day event, with winners remaining in championship bracket until reaching Tuesday’s final match

The Alabama men's golf team is back in action beginning on Sunday as it welcomes the other 13 SEC teams for SEC Match Play hosted by Jerry Pate. The three-day event will span Sunday through Tuesday and will be played at the par 72, 7,370-yard Shoal Creek Club course.

All 14 SEC teams will compete in head-to-head match play, with 36 holes contested Sunday and 18 holes played Monday and Tuesday. Every team is guaranteed to play matches each day, even if eliminated. Winners will remain in the championship bracket en route to Tuesday's final match.

Sunday pool play begins with 36 holes, 18-hole matches in the morning:

Alabama Men’s Golf Falls to LSU in Opening Round of SEC Match Play Hosted by Jerry Pate

The Alabama men's golf team fell in the opening round of SEC Match Play hosted by Jerry Pate Sunday morning, dropping a 2-1-2 decision to LSU. The Crimson Tide was able to begin its second-round contest against Florida when matches were suspended due to lack of sunlight on the par 72, 7,370-yard Shoal Creek Club course.

The Tide and Gators, along with the other 12 SEC teams competing in the three-day event, will resume second-round action at 9 a.m. CT. Once all matches conclude, third-round bracket and pool play will commence shortly after the pairings get set. Play will conclude with the final 18 holes of match play taking place Tuesday.

Alabama Men’s Golf Earns Two Victories on Day Two of SEC Match Play Hosted by Jerry Pate

The Alabama men's golf team secured two victories Monday during the second and third rounds of SEC Match Play hosted by Jerry Pate. The Crimson Tide boasts a 2-1 record over the previous three rounds and will square off against Ole Miss in Tuesday's final 18 holes.

Alabama began the day down in three matches during its second-round contest against the Gators before storming back to take the win, 3-2. The match resumed from Sunday evening after play was suspended due to darkness. Following that victory, the Tide dominated in a 4-1 victory over South Carolina.

Tyler Lipscomb and JP Cave led the charge with both posting a pair of wins, while all five golfers recorded at least one victory Monday.

Jones Free’s Chip-In on No. 18 Lifts Alabama to Victory on Final Day of SEC Match Play Hosted by Jerry Pate

Alabama’s Jones Free chipped-in for birdie on the 18th hole to secure a 1up victory and the clinching point in the Crimson Tide’s 3-2 win over Ole Miss in Tuesday’s final round of SEC Match Play hosted by Jerry Pate. With the win, Alabama finished the four matches across three days with a 3-1 record which include three consecutive victories to close tournament action.

Free squared off against Ole Miss’ Evan Brown in a back-and-forth affair that featured both golfers holding as much as a two-hole lead. The Selma, Ala., native held a 2up advantage through 13 holes before Brown won holes 14 and 15 to draw even, setting up Free’s heroics.

Canon Claycomb and JP Cave also won their matches to earn the Tide’s three points in the victory.

Alabama Women’s Golf Continues Fall Season at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

After beginning the season with a pair of top-five finishes, the No. 12 University of Alabama women's golf team continues its fall slate at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. The tournament, which is the second of four fall tournaments for the Crimson Tide, will be held at the Finley Golf Course (par 72, 6,379 yards) in Chapel Hill, N.C., Oct. 15-17.

The tournament field features 18 teams, including 13 teams ranked in the nation's top 50, according to the latest Golfweek rankings. No. 12 Alabama will square off against No. 8 Michigan, No. 13 Wake Forest, No. 14 Duke, No. 28 Virginia Tech, No. 29 Furman, No. 31 Vanderbilt, No. 34 Kentucky, No. 41 Mississippi State, No. 43 Ohio State, No. 44 Clemson, No. 45 North Carolina, No. 48 Michigan State, Maryland, Southern Methodist, NC State and UNC Wilmington.

Tee times will begin Friday and Saturday at 7:30 a.m. CT, while Sunday will feature a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT. The Tide will be paired with Michigan and Duke for the opening round, taking the first tee at 8:30 a.m. CT.

The Women are currently #12. I don’t think the Men are ranked - they had a bad first outing but seem to be playing much better since then. Hoping for a return to glory for both squads.

Alabama Set to Close Out Fall Schedule at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup

The inaugural event, which will feature both stroke and match play, will have live television coverage on the Golf Channel

The Alabama men's golf team is headed to Roland, Ark., to compete at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, which will take place Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 18-20, and have live coverage throughout on the Golf Channel.

The event, which will be held at the par 72, 7,500-yard Alotian Golf Club, features 54 holes of stroke play across the first two days which will set the table for Wednesday's final round of match play.
