We have another confirmed walk-on, this one is a QB:

Blake Luker

Is it safe to have two ginger QBs on the team at the same time?

I've never seen JFF get run down from behind by a white LB

ETA: I went back and re-watched. It was a DE not a LB

Lots of kids get overlooked

Jerry Rice never got a D1 offer

Robert Mathis was asked to be a walk-on by a couple lower level D1 schools and decided to take the scholly offer at Alabama A&M

You could be right but you never do know

Kid does look fast, though competition is open for debate. I suspect the reason he's not getting more actual scholarship offers is that his throwing mechanics look goofy. He appears to need some substantial work there.

Somebody on BOL is claiming the staff called Chris Williams this morning and wanted him to greyshirt and that's why he flipped.

We are not overly booked on commits right now. Is there a particular reason that we would have wanted him to grey shirt or could we need his scholly for someone else?

Still got to be at 85 at some point. Maybe they do not have enough that require processing.

A lot of people are predicting Malachi Dupre to FSU today and they are expected to land Ermon Lane as well. Perhaps Travis Rudolph reached out to the staff?

Or maybe the staff feels really good about Evans?

I don't know but I kinda doubt we would take TFS if it meant having to greyshirt (and probably losing) Williams.

Don't get me wrong -- if he gets the job done, he gets the job done. I'd take him on scholarship in a heartbeat. Though a white boy from Indiana will have to come to terms with the fact that our new head coach is even blacker than our old one.

I wonder, though, if Saban already has ideas about moving the kid to a different position.
