I'd rather read from a realist. The fact of the matter is, the reality at LSU and Bama is good enough as it is...no need to fluff it with overly optimistic posts about a kid who is unlikely to come to your school (Chad Thomas to Bama or Adoree Jackson to LSU).

I'd be more optimistic on Thomas if his family was coming with him this weekend.

I'm glad his coming to visit too. It really does show how good our staff is when we can get a guy to visit when we don't even have the major he wants to pursue.

Too bad he doesn't want to be an Engineer.

I saw what major it was a while back but forgot, what damn major is it that Bama doesn't have?

I've never understood anyone with a realist over optimist mentality.

That's like having a kid like Tom Brady and all the experts are telling him he'll fail. When you look at him, really look at him, yeah maybe that's the conclusion you draw, but do you go tell your son, "Hey, sorry I know it's your dream to play in the NFL, but you're not good enough so don't waste your time!"?

It's not the best example, but I mean seriously you'll be much happier if you're only realistic when you have to be.

Saw this kid's name on a few Bama boards the last couple days. He's a 2015 recruit. He doesn't even have a 247 profile yet, but Bone said he was a stud in his weekly chat and that Bama is on him:

Jamarius Henderson (ESPN Profile) Highlights

He's a RB from Dale County. I'll put this on the first page and will update his profile once 247 makes him one.

Is that the kid that has been shattering records? There is a small school back in the state that I read about on AL.com a few months back that was averaging over 300 ypg, I think it was him

2015 TE Will Gragg is another one to keep an eye on for a possibly commitment this weekend.

No idea. I'd never heard of him before yesterday. Like I said, he doesn't even have a profile on the 247 network.

Nice. I'd be very happy with a CB class of Fitzpatrick and Smitherman for next year.

Same here. Fitz is a 5* and Mo has a 5* offer list. Plus they both have awesome names

That's right now I remember

A degree in that line gets you about as much work at McDonalds as it does in the field of Hip Hop Music and that is speaking from experience

It's how good you are at it and who you know

Degree don't mean shite IMO

I agree, it's a great reality, but it's always exciting to hear about a potential new superstar. Chad Thomas is visiting Bama. To say he's not coming makes you no more a realist than someone who says he is coming.

Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington 5-star defensive end and Hurricane commit Chad Thomas will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend. Thomas received a visit from Nick Saban and Mario Cristobal on Wednesday. He has also taken an official visit to Florida State and Miami earlier in the process. Thomas is not expected to be joined by family members.

Utah commit and Shreveport (La.) Woodlawn safety Donovan Wilson is another potential official visitor. Wilson was visited by Saban and Billy Napier on Tuesday and invited to come to Tuscaloosa this weekend. He committed to Utah on Monday and could decide to not take the trip to Alabama as he's been back and forth on making the visit.
