I don't like Clark to LB, personally. I think he fits the Money role exceptionally well.

I'll have to disagree with you there. Clark is a bulky guy with average straight line speed and change of direction. He's an instinctive football player but he should never be tasked with covering a WR in college. Clark is a more talented version of Cory Reamer IMO

When a committed player tweets about making a decision it usually isn't good for the team he is committed to.

That's not true. We had recruits do it last year.

I said it usually, meaning in more cases than not.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if he is using this dead period as a buffer? What I mean, is he has seemed to be waffling for some time now. What if he was waiting for the dead period to come, so he could make his decision and not be bothered by other coaching staffs afterward?

He is an EE, so by the time the losing staff(s) can get contact he would be gone.

If that is what he is doing I think it plays in our favor.

No doubt to me that's what it is and one other recruit did this magically right before the dead period.........Yeldon

3 predictions, 1 being Christian Miller, for Elam to Bama this morning. None for Kentucky even though he is visiting there this weekend.

1 prediction for Hampton today too (Niebuhr).

Really? I honestly think it plays into ours. The less time Saban is in his ear the better. From what everyone close to CJ has said, he (CJ) gave his word to Ole Miss and he plans on honoring that. Our guys still maintain that CJ has not done anything yet that he didn't say he was going to do. I feel like the longer he's not enrolled the more time Saban has to convince him otherwise.

EIther way, if we lose a recruit at least it was a pretty good battle to the best program in the country. I can deal with that.

I heart the 13 page thread. It has been fun watching Prominentwon go silent and deflect when I confronted him about posting random posts from BOL and claiming it is Tim Watts.

I've been on that side of the coin and usually your mind is made up or damn near it. He has already committed to Ole Miss so there is nothing you guys can show him that he hasn't already seen or thought about. We are the different thing he has analyzed and has made him have second thoughts.

In this situation there would be no reason to wait till no one can contact you if you're going to stay with your original home-state commitment. Now if you know you're going to flip and don't want to deal with the backlash or coaches trying to convince you to stay home you wait it out till they can't.

That is what it seems like he has done. I could of course be wrong, but I've been in those shoes before and it isn't far-fetched.

Nothing has changed since last week or the last 2 months, CJ Hampton will commit to Alabama.

Most safeties shouldn't be tasked with a 1-on-1 matchup with a WR. That's why they are safeties and not CBs.

You could count on 1 hand how many NFL safeties can cover WRs on an island.
