Using deductive reasoning here....Matt Elam. He gone?

I doubt 1 has anything to do with the other

I think Saban took one look at the game film from AU and realized we need as much help as we can get up the middle.

They play different positions.

No.
Expect attrition after the bowl game from the defensive line (Fanning included).
Even without attrition, Alabama needs an upgrade in the overall quality and depth in the unit desperately.

I mean...spots are running slim. I hope you're right. Elam, Humphrey, Hampton, recruit X and call it a day. Do we have the room for those 4 though is the question? We need to hang onto Bessent.

Could mean we pass on Shaw and/or Pettway which would be fine with me

Doesn't look like the staff even wants Bessent anymore if he's the only one of about 50 kids not even getting a visit this week.

Exactly. Do not want.
What this means is I can forget our come from behind Andrew Brown dream and Lorenzo Carter, Evans and the pretty good Miami kid Chad Thomas is out.

Nobody knows how many spots are left so no one can conclude taking Reed means we won't get Player Y especially if Player Y isn't a DE

Playing devils advocate, I haven't seen any announced plans to see Miller yet and we all know the staff wants him in this class

Looks like Reed spent fall 2011 at prep school and the last 2 years at JUCO. So not sure if he has 2 or 3 years to play 2. Not that it matters since we're not going to redshirt him anyway.

Iowa really impressed St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College Top100 offensive tackle Brian Wallace during an official visit the weekend of Nov. 23.
Missouri matched the Hawkeyes this past weekend during the U.S. Army All-American’s official visit to Columbia.
Expect Wallace to be equally excited about Arkansas and Alabama following his official visits the next two weekends. He said the trip to the Tigers campus has made his college decision harder and those words will ring more true once Wallace makes stops to see the Razorbacks again and the Crimson Tide for the first time.
A true leader won’t likely emerge for Wallace until after he takes his final two officials.

So it sounds like the heir apparent to Ed Stinson then?

I'm guessing that year in JUCO showed he is more of a blocker and probably can't catch which some people said last year as well.
Hasn't played in JuCo, according to another site (and I didn't know this until I read it a couple days ago) he has been at 3 different JuCo's the past yr...no thank you
