Mid-first round is usually the ceiling for an OG, but the mystical powers of his magnificent buddha belly bump him into the top 10.

I could see anywhere from 7-15

How was Decastro regarded as a safe top 10 pick when he was the 17th pick?
It was because he was still seen as a "safe" selection and in the top 10 talent range but teams in that range had more pressing need. Add to that the fact that there were 2 franchise level QBs
Bottom line is Decastro slipped because of teams needs and talent level at other positions, however Warmack is viewed as a much better prospect, Decastro was never viewed as the top player in the draft, Warmack has that billing according to many

He will go high this year because there are no QB's. That wasn't the case last year.

Some dude (not a mod) on BOL posted this on Tyren Jones' recovery:
quote:
Got the bands taken out of mouth on Monday and basically now has what amounts to braces on his teeth. Talking pretty good (jaw still not fully flexible) and back on solid food. He lost about 10 pounds so he is down to about 200 lbs (from 210). Ready to get back in the weight room which doctor has cleared him to do. Actually went to track practice today and said he felt faster as he still has the strength from the muscle mass he had put on but is obviously lighter with the weight loss. Plans to report to Bama at a "cut up" 205-210 and then let Coach Cochran take over from there. Funny, we got to talking about Army All-American game and he said, "Coach D, trust me when I tell you that there were 3-4 runs in that game that I would have taken house...believe that!". Again I have been riding him telling him he is going to be getting those higher rated backs their gatorade this summer ....he was just letting me know that while he saw some great talent, there is no doubt in his mind that he belongs and is ready to compete.

Jesse Aniebonam, DE from Maryland.
Said with the offer Alabama is in his top 3. He did not say who the other two were though.

The funny part is that we are so insanely loaded at RB that a sure starter at another school is 6th-7th string here.

ESPN Watch List RB from Texas grew up a #Bama fan. He plans to visit Tuscaloosa this weekend. @max_olson LINK (Insider)
Accompanying teaser:
quote:
PFLUGERVILLE, Texas -- Adrian Peterson suffered a torn ACL and MCL in December 2011. So did Samaje Perine. One of them went on to win the NFL's MVP award and nearly broke the all-time rushing record. The other? Well, he had a pretty good comeback year, too: 2,017 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.
Assuming we only take a couple RBs this year, it could be quite the competition to see who gets those spots.

Looks like you can add Devlin Hodges to the Junior Day list:

I doubt a kid from Glenville comes south. Those kids are usually OSU's to lose if they really want them, tho USC was able to pull a OT outta there a few yrs back. Its pretty remarkable how much of a pipeline Glenville has been to OSU. I'd love to have Lattimore but this seems to be a shot across the bow at Urban.
Game On!!
