I mean could it be anymore obvious that Memphis is paying Watford?? This guy was OBSESSED with all things Bama just 2 months ago. I wish we would pay Watford, the NCAA already proved with Ayton that they wont do anything.

If the NCAA refused to do anything to UNC they aren't doing anything to anyone again. Nothing major at least. A few wrist slaps will be handed out from time to time but that's about the extent of it.

I think it is arguably the opposite. Removing $ from CBB is a best case scenario for Penny Hardaway/Memphis. Going to be hard to compete with a legit former NBA star who is clearly "cool" + knows all these kids from AAU ball

No coach cares too much about the NCAA when the FBI is arresting people

With as much as the staff is watching Timme, I wonder if he's our top post target for if/when Watford goes to Memphis.

I’m asking someone rn about our chances with Drew Timme. I’d like to land him if we didn’t get Watford. It would make me feel a little better about it

Honestly if Watford's only going to stay one year, it's not that big of a loss. I think I'd take Timme for three or four years over Watford for one.

Kira is more important imo.

Collin’s playing on ESPN2. First quarter just ended. He’s not playing too great tho. I think he’s shot like 1-7 so far

Edit: That slow start didn’t last long up to 12 points in the 2nd quarter

15 points 3 rebounds at the half for Collin. Cavs and Rockets tied at 50

247s 2020 player rankings have Jamel King who plays at Bryant in Cottondale and Jayden Stone who plays at Central Park in Birmingham as top 100 players.

Harvell (Athens, AL) who we've offered is at 102. Rongie Gordon who is the only other in state player we've offered for 2020 isn't ranked. Colby Jones (Pinson, AL) is about 150.

Cameron and Zameron Boozer are two in state bigs to watch for 2020 as well. I don't know if they are related to the Cameron Boozer that played basketball at AU and is sueing them currently.

Are you guys excited about the upcoming year, or are you in a "wait and see" mode when it comes to the team? Minus a few years with Grant and Gottfried, I'm always excited about the upcoming year, but I still had expectations on where the team would possibly fall. Kind of torn how to feel about this team. We have some talent with a couple guys who can shoot, but how reliable can they be on a consistent basis to make us a solid team? I like our potential and that we're sort of an under the radar type team, but I do have some concerns if guys like Ingram, Petty, Reese, and Herb don't progress in the offseason as better shooters and better dribblers. Then you have to hope Mack doesn't turn out like some of our other grad transfers. Watching Sexton in the Summer League makes me already miss his ability to go from end to end in a split second and score. That and his smart decisions around the rim, whether it be a crazy layup or a last minute pass inside.
