Any word where that bubble will be? That's a lot of athletes to house and feed, etc in one place.
Bama should be an odds-on favorite since we are a perennial bubble team. Should be comfortable, familiar surroundings!

Indianapolis is believed to be the likeliest location as of now.

I don't care if we play in an empty high school at this point, let's just go dancing and take it from there.
How do we get to March? TAMU had 2 positive players and tracing went through a team of 85 and canceled the game. Now TAMU is down for the second week as well. 2 positive cases. What's tracing protocol going to disrupt for a dozen basketball players?

I’d rather give it a try than to just give up and not have a season. Just gotta hope for the best. Maybe the contact tracing will be reduced down or something

A college athlete quarantine should end if the player is asymptomatic and tests negative on days 5, 6 & 7.

It has to be reduced and very soon. If Sankey can get into his lab and come up with the "flexible" schedule, smarter people are going to have to get a handle on this on the fly, or college athletics is going to be the first sports casualty since the restart.
I don't know how much liability these administrators are still feeling but it can't be anything close to all the uncertainty and pressure they had back in September. In football, we went from still doable to a hard sell in 2 short weeks.

Unfortunately, a lot will depend on the players making the difficult decisions to not have a social life and try to limit their exposure. Either basketball or a social life. It’s shitty, and I hate if for the players, but that’s life right now

I know UABs athletic director was on the radio the other day and said that C-USA has a rule where if you have 7 players you are required to play. I’m curious if SEC would institute similar rule

Byrne said Coleman Coliseum will have about 15 percent capacity when Alabama opens its basketball season next week, and masks will be required.
That’s about 2,300 fans out of the 15,383 total capacity of the venue.

The contact tracing is bullshite at this point. If everyone in the conference os testing daily, then contact tracing should be reduced to isolation with continuing daily testing. If no positives after 5 days of testing, player should resume normal activities.
The average incubation period is 5 days for showing symptoms but as short as 2 days and as long as 14 days but those are rare and are outliers. The huge majority show symptoms by day 12. You are usually contagious a couple of days before symptoms show. If the average is 5 days for symptoms and you are contagious (therefore would test positive) a couple of days before that, most contacts would resolve one way or the other by day 3. Add a couple of days to be cautious and you’re at 5 days. If you really want to be cautious, stretch it to a week but it’s still better than the current situation.

I really didn't think Kira would go that high, but I'm rooting hard for him.
Reminds me of that quote from an anonymous coach that you posted a few days ago:

I don't think people understand how important Kira Lewis was to their basketball team. We spent hours talking about how to stop Kira and we still couldn't do it.

Kira was a 2nd round pick IMO and Oats helped him become a Lottery pick.

Little weird being a week away from our 1st game and we still don’t have a time or Network.

We had a local school system study their contact tracing quarantining, and they found that out of 1,000+ students that went into quarantine because of "close contact", 15 eventually tested positive. Of the 15, 5 were able to trace the cause back to the school, the other 10 contracted the virus while out on quarantine. They have stopped contact tracing all together and have not seen spikes or issues.
I understand the need to be cautious, but there is too much inconsistency to suggest that it is in fact the best way to handle things, IMO.

Would learning under CP3 be a good thing?
