This doesn’t exactly pertain to this season. But with it seeming like we will have a Vaccine before next season can the NCAA make it a requirement everyone involved with College athletics get vaccinated?

Rick Pitino is asking for the season to be delayed and not on Nov 25.
Says, start later and save the season.

Mandating the vaccine would be a really slippery slope. Especially a “rushed” vaccine. I’m not a lawyer, but I would think that would open up the NCAA to all kinds of possible litigations in the future.

Wednesday marked the beginning of the Early Signing Period for college basketball, among other sports not named football. By Saturday all three of the Crimson Tide's 2021 commitments were signed with UA, including five-star point guard JD Davison.
As always, UA head basketball coach Nate Oats shared his thoughts on the big-time addition Alabama basketball.
"It is a priority for us to keep the best players in the Alabama coming to the University of Alabama. We all feel like JD is the best point guard in the country for the way we play. He is at his best when he is in the open floor and in transition. He can create off the dribble, make shots – especially clutch shots – and creates for his teammates. We felt like this was a match made in heaven with the way he plays and our style of play. We are really excited about JD because he’s an Alabama kid who’s been an Alabama fan his whole life and wants to come here and take this program to the next level. We think he’s going to do just that."
Davison is part of a No. 14-ranked class, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.
He joins four-star forward Jusaun Holt of Georgia and four-star junior college forward Langston Wilson.
Here's what Oats said about both Holt and Wilson.
Holt:
"We needed to find someone to replace John Petty who is one of the best shooters in the country and we felt like we went out and got one of the premier shooters in all of high school basketball in Jusaun Holt. We also love the fact that he is a two-way player. We want everyone we recruit to take the defensive end as serious as they take the offensive end and we feel he is certainly that way. We think he is one of the best two-way wings in the country. He comes from Atlanta and I know the last player we got from that area turned out pretty good in Collin Sexton. We want to keep that pipeline going. We're ecstatic to get Jusaun and we think he is going to fit our style of play perfectly."
Wilson:
"We think Langston has a really high upside. He's a gym rat, he's long and athletic. He had a misdiagnosis in high school that kept him from playing basketball so he's only played one year of organized basketball and we feel he has a tremendously high ceiling. We are looking forward to getting him in here next summer. His length and athleticism will add a lot to our team next season."

The vaccine can be mandated, but it won't be the NCAA doing it. How many vaccines do our kids have to have to attend public school? You have to have a meningitis booster before attending college. I don't know if they will push the Covid vaccine, considering the feelings about it and the rushed approach but... not being political, but the newly elected administration will have an easier time pushing that than Trump would.

Is there a posted tv schedule somewhere, or is that stuff decided on the fly? Does the SEC Network show all the conference games?

No tv info (besides the Stanford game), times, or ticket info has been released yet

How do y’all think the JQ/JD dynamic works next year? I think JD is obviously a better player but I also feel like he can play off the ball where I don’t think JQ can.

I truly wish they would. Pitino isn't scared of COVID, he's scared of the protocols and the fact that tracing can take a small group of basketball players out of the picture in a hurry.

The NCAA on Monday announced that it will host the 2021 March Madness in a bubble-type environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ending the possibility of retaining the usual tournament format that calls for 13 different host cities.
“In recent weeks, the Division I Men’s Basketball Committee has engaged in a thorough contingency planning process to determine the most effective way to conduct a safe and healthy March Madness for all participants for the 2021 championship,” the NCAA’s release stated.
“Through these discussions, it became apparent to the committee that conducting the championship at 13 preliminary round sites spread throughout the country would be very difficult to execute in the current pandemic environment.”

I don't care if we play in an empty high school at this point, let's just go dancing and take it from there.
