That’s about where we should be ranked. This is not a 1 seed team. People were right...a bad night at the three pt line and we’re average. We have no paint presence and Bruner is out four more games at least. Can’t finish at the rim either.

Imagine calling players mentally weak when you melt down in an online thread because you are losing to a very good team that has the motivation of wanting to beat the overwhelming conference leaders.

I think that what frustrates all of us is that this is two Saturdays in a row we've had a marquee game against the type of talent we'll see in the tournament, and the effort has been lacking. This isn't just one game in a vacuum. Even if we end up being a 5 seed (which we probably won't) and come out playing like this, we'll lose to the 12 and be out early. You can't afford one game at all like this in the tournament against anyone.

No, it isn't where we should be ranked. We should be ranked where our resume says we are, and that's in the Top 10.

A loss in conference was eventually going to come. It's just crazy how Oats and the staff have preached all year that if they're going to lose, don't let it be for controllable reasons (poor effort, bad shot selection, and unforced turnover). The team is doing EXACTLY that.
That part is infuriating. Even worse when last year's game should have been a teachable moment for the guys, but here we are again.

The offense has been so ugly. No one is moving around, we are missing wide open 3s. You can literally see the lack of effort. You can’t be a top seeded team and show up like this to a big game. It’s embarrassing.

Our defense and effort have been lacking severely. Did not expect that. Game is gone now unless someone goes bonkers for us in the second half. Early games not working out for us. They are always an advantage for the home team.

Agreed on that point for sure. Was mainly hoping for more effort, which did admittedly pick up later in the half. I'm also wondering where the defense went.

The last couple couple of games our offense has been too much one-one-one. It’s literally been our half court offense. Give the ball to someone, spread out and let him go one-on-one.
