I love the tournament, and I’m going to watch for sure, but today’s games seem to be a bit underwhelming for a Sweet 16 round. On paper at least.
Tomorrow, on the other hand, is stacked.
It’s of course possible that today ends up being awesome and tomorrow we get a string of blowouts. As long as we’re on the right side of that I’m good.

Bilas is taking Gonzaga, Baylor, Alabama and Loyola-Chicago to reach the Final Four. Originally, he took Gonzaga, Baylor, Alabama and Illinois. (Bilas talked a lot about Bama)

Hoping for competitive games today. Blowouts are no fun unless it’s us blowing someone out.

Us and Loyola for the National Title would be one hell of a defensive game

It’s all good. My post wasn’t even really about Beard, specifically. I was trying to say that it felt like a very Texas thing to do, like firing Rick Barnes.

Pretty sure that Bama would easily handle either of these teams
Feels really good to be able to say that

Was just thinking the same

Oh shite...Oregon State has an old frick also. Maybe he can neutralize some of Sister Jeans powers

Is it me or is Every Loyola play basically the same. They give it to Krutwig at the top of the key and run all different sets and cuts out of that.

Wow, this game sucks. Oregon State might not score again in this half.

This game is on pace to end 36 to 12.

Loyola Chicago has a good D, they are number 1 in Defensive efficiency now, we are 3rd. Their offense looks horrible today.

This game is difficult to watch.

The game is competitive like I wanted, but I probably should’ve specified that I was hoping for aesthetically pleasing

Yea, I’m blaming this on you.. jerk

It seemed to me that they ran the same base stuff all game against Illinois and they could never figure it out. I don’t know if Oregon State is playing better defense or if Loyola isn’t executing/shooting as well.

Feels like we needed Loyola against a blue blood/top seed. I was not really hyped about this game, and it has not really changed my mind.
Baylor/Nova is the marquee game today, but I don’t know exactly what Villanova is without their point guard.

34 total points in 16 minutes of play seems like a 6 year old YMCA level
