It's just hard to say right now because we are still playing games.
The only two names I know of that we for sure have been in contact with are Nimari Burnett and Myreon Jones, which are both guards.
We currently have one roster spot open which would presumably be for Charles Bediako when he finally makes a commitment. In order to take him and another from the portal, we would have to have one guy transfer out.

I think a coach could make headwinds in recruiting by saying they aren’t going to use the portal at all.
I’m not saying we should do that, but I think while not explicitly saying it, Dave Clawson has had success doing it will Wake Forest football.

Yes. Technically the way the NCAA tournament works is 4 separate mini-tournaments to decide which 4 teams compete for a championship. If you make the Final Four it's because you won one of those mini-tournaments. You are the Regional Champion. Not to be confused with the Assistant (to the) Regional Champion.

Speaking of that, I wonder if anyone saved clips or articles of the national media going after Oats during that time period? We’ve all laughed at our hot takes from earlier in the year, it’d be funny to make the national media get old take exposed if we make the Elite 8.

Football and basketball are probably a little different in that regard. I would expect Oats to use the portal any and every time it makes sense for roster construction and system fit.

Yeah, my hope is that Tchikou, Ambrose, and Bediako develop enough that we don’t need a GT next season. I’m not concerned with our guards.

Through my job at the time I got to meet Boeheim and his wife when they plays Bama in 97. I had always heard he was an a-hole, but was anything but that to me. His wife was awesome as well, and really hot. She’s from Florence and grew up a Bama fan.

Unless we have someone unexpectedly go to the NBA early, I don't see how we would have room for a GT this season without pushing someone to transfer.
There could be someone on the roster like KAH that is unhappy with playing time and wants to seek another opportunity elsewhere, but he'll have every opportunity in the offseason to earn more playing time and i'm sure he's aware of that, whether he recognized it on his own or the staff made it clear to him. I have no reason to think anyone is unhappy enough to leave, just purely speculating.
For my money, Rojas is the one that would/should be transferred out if there is a guy in the portal I felt like I needed to go out and get.

I am in the minority I know but Rojas was in the rotation . Unless CNO likes KAH upside better I could see him leaving

KAH has flashed some talent in the limited minutes he’s played this year. He has way more upside than Rojas.
