Oats is going to have to start turning transfers away at this point. Imagine the guards that will wanna play in this system?
If Oats stays here he will be as large as Saban in 3 years. No reason for him to go anywhere.
Build the Arena and let’s turn this shite into Kentucky

This thread is great! I've learned a ton about Bama (/college) basketball since I started reading it regularly in February.
I continue to say it, but it really is the best thread on this whole site.

Along with the Bama Football Megathread and the Tide FB Recruiting & Roster, of course.

We have an excellent collection of posters in here - really can't say that enough. This thread covers so much ground and information, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place on the internet for Alabama basketball imho.
You want general/college/SEC/Alabama basketball information and knowledge? It's all here. You want historical college/SEC/Alabama basketball information and knowledge? That's here too. You want hard data and an analytical view to prove or disprove what is happening? Also here. You want up to the minute news and happenings for basically anything even remotely related to Alabama basketball? This is the place.
This place is awesome and all credit goes to everyone who participates daily to make it that way - so thank you to everyone that helps make this place what it is.

The only real complaint i've seen from people is that it can be hard to find information. And I can understand that, because there are days when we might burn through 50 pages.
If I do the thread again next year, I think it might be smart to block off the first few posts and keep them updated throughout the season as reference points.

That’s a great idea. There will be a lot more traffic next year in here.
There’s a lot of football fans that haven’t ventured here yet, but they will if we are good in back to back seasons.

Understandable, but getting used to the pace doesn't take long.
I swear, opening up this thread and reading through the past few pages are some of the highlights of my day.

I love this place...thank you everyone for putting up with my melts. When I get mad in sports I insult the players/team, it’s the way I cope.

In fact, since I began tracking #NCAAFourFactors beginning with the 2018 tournament teams are now 70-1 in tournament games where they win both EFG% and TO%

Agreed. It's really the only reason I come to this site, most days.
So, thanks for all you guys do. I contribute next to nothing except a very basic understanding of basketball, a foggy recollection of 90's and 2000's bama teams, lame jokes that nobody thinks are funny, and a lot of love for Bama basketball. But, this is my favorite thread by far.

Totally agree. I learn new things here everyday.

Yep. I do it (and keep evolving it) in the FB mega & recruiting threads. Quick/easy access to info.

Was just doing some research on Tchikou, and I think he will be a major problem for opposing teams.
His scouting report says that’s he’s best in transition and can shoot the 3. He’s good laterally and vertically which is great defensively.
He and JD alone should bring enough production to replace Herb and Petty. We could realistically be better if Gary and Primo develop more as well.

Yeah, he was my favorite recruit in the entire 21 class. I want to say Bryant and Robot felt similarly. Then one day it was announced that he was reclassifying to 2020 and committing to Alabama. We couldn't believe it. The Achilles injury sucks, but hopefully he's back to 100% by the time next season rolls around. He has the potential to be an absolute superstar.

That eFG% and TO% stat is one of those where you go "yea, duh" but it's really interesting to actually have it in black and white.

This thread really is great. It's the only place where I feel like I have legitimate back and forth discussions and think about new things on this website (and that's just because I don't really post in the football/recruiting thread, you do great work there too Surge
).
I'll tell myself I'm just going to watch a game and not read/post in the thread and then by the 12 minute mark I'm subconsciously on this page
