Reminds me a bit of the Ark/Ala semi in '92. The shots that were made in the 2nd half were unreal from both sides, never stopped.

Anyone know where I can find the Chris Stewart radio call of the ending?

Those final two games vs Tennessee and LSU are going to pay huge dividends in the tournament. Those were back to back Sweet 16 type games where the team didn't shoot well from 3, but found a way to win.

I hope we at least make to the Elite 8 just to give the returning players a bad taste in their mouth if they don't win. The motivation to make it the next year will be at an all time high + incoming talent.

I mean I wasn't even getting mad when LSU kept punching back after we got a couple of two possession leads late. They just made plays without any bullshite lucky bounces or ref frickery. Then we turned around and did the same.

They absolutely were. There is nothing we will see in the tournament until a possible Final Four matchup with Gonzaga that will force us to play at a higher level with more intensity and mental toughness than those 2 games did.

Hopefully we can battle through the first weekend and get Primo back for what would likely be a showdown with Texas. JQ, Shack, and Ellis seem to be the only ones right now that are pretty confident in their shots from 3. If Petty and Primo can join them then we’ll make a final 4 run.

Feel bad for him. He really looks like he's struggling with his knees.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but it was so obvious when he was in and they’d iso him on the defensive perimeter only to blow right by him. Would kill to have him 100%.

Yea - there are going to be certain teams and styles that he just won't be able to play against.

If we get to Texas, for example, I'm not sure you can put him on the floor against their athletic bigs with his legs right now.

Like you said, it really sucks, both because having him healthy would be huge and because it just sucks for him and it has to be eating at him.

We were at some random game in Coleman years ago and went out to grab something to eat at halftime, and Herb was standing there, leaned up against the wall in the concourse just looking around.

I thought I recognized him (he also stood out because of his height), and as we got closer, I was able to see his name on the recruiting badge he was wearing.

I told him "Roll Tide," and he said, "Yes sir!!" and gave us a fist bump. It was such a small interaction, but I'll never forget his smile and the excitement of his expression.

Looking back, it's hard to believe that young kid leaning up against the wall has been through so much and come so far, and what he's meant to all of us and this program.

My inner Bama Basketball fan says not to say this but I have so much confidence in this team(not enough to beat Gonzaga) but they took 2 Sweet16 caliber teams best shots and beat them....without Primo and Petty being a nonfactor offensively

Also........how about this from the LSU game box score

Jadon Shackelford - 21 pts, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
Jahvon Quinerly - 14 pts, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
Keon Ellis - 14 pts, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal
Juwan Gary - 8 pts, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

Compare to LSU's returners from this team

Audre Hyatt - 8 pts, 8 rebounds
J. LeBlanc - 0 pts, 2 rebounds
Eric Gaines - 0 pts, 1 rebound

Next years team is Loaded...I wanna cry.

Only question I have is who takes Herbs spot leadership wise on defense. Hopefully Gary or Ellis can.
Yesterday Reese made a 3 and was jawing and not paying attention and Herb LITERALLY had to throw him into position

Nobody, because Herb is just special as a defender - but Ellis is gonna be pretty damn good at it

Herb almost murdered Reese 2x yesterday for jawing - after that corner 3 and after he fouled Watford on an and 1

I think Reese was on the right man (Watford). He had been guarding him. Herb just wanted him that trip (and they immediately had to switch back anyway).

It's hard to say what players are yelling at each other about.

Herb got after Shaq pretty good for leaving one of their 3 point shooters open late, was all over him on the bench.

I'm probably Gumping, but I've seen enough of Gary to think he can be almost as versatile as Herb on that end. He doesn't quite have Herb's lateral quickness so a slick PG is going to get past him but he can definitely stay in front of most combo guard and wing type guys while also playing grown man basketball in the post.
