Anyone else really excited about next year? Just having Braxton Key makes me think we've got a good shot at the tourney bc he's an all around good player and a leader. He hussles as much as anyone on the court, rebounds, can shoot good, doesn't seem to feel the pressure in critical situations. Then add a good shooter, Armond Davis. Then the player everyone was saying looked the best last year, Nick King, is finally eligible. Then, our starting PG Dazon Ingram finally gets back on the court. I can't wait!

I'm excited, but still don't know if we should expect a tournament team yet. I know we got close last season, but that doesn't always translate to success the following season, even with better players. There's more pressure on Avery to succeed now because he had success last season and raised expectations.

I am excited about Key. He's just a solid all around player and will be one of the better defenders.

I'm excited about Key for what he'll do throughout his career. If he can get Kessens minutes his freshman year I'll be content. More would be bonus. Next year I think Davis will make the biggest impact from this recruiting class. Hope he's ready.

I agree. I actually think Sexton is the better and more complete player. Anthony Polite is a crazy talented kid too. I just really want one of those assassin type scorers. Sexton is probably the best pure scorer of those 3. Polite is a pure shooter and Petty would make a big in state splash. As would Jamal Johnson. I'd be thrilled with one of those guys. Sure would love to get 2 of them though.

I really think Key will really be a great team player and will produce in many different ways for us, but I'm just not sure of his offensive ceiling, y'all. Shannon Hale type numbers would honestly be more than I expect from his offensively. I do look for him to fill other parts of the stat sheet though.

I know he was playing against high school players, but I remember watching him a few games on TV and he didn't seem like their go to guy to score and still would end up with 20 points a game somehow

@AaronSuttles:
When asked if the roster is currently set for 2016-17 season, Avery Johnson, paused, smiled and said "We have one scholarship open."

Hall doesn't have the offensive tools to play a 4. We would be extremely offensively challenged with him playing anything other than the 5.

I guess I am anticipating (perhaps unrealistically) improvement in his offensive game between now and then.

Avery Johnson (as mentioned above) says we have one scholarship available for this coming season and he also says we may have a player (that we haven't seen play much) that could be good enough to be an NBA lottery pick. Here's the LINK

I'm not that concerned after landing Giddens and having Reese, Brooks, etc in the '17 class.
