Well I do agree with that, although I feel like there was a lack of effort throughout the game to make the hustle plays we normally do, it wasn't just in the last few minutes when we collapsed. It was just masked earlier in the game by an above average shooting day.

There were a few times I wanted to run down to the court and grab the ball myself I thought Grant wanted to choke Jacobs and Lacy on a couple of occasions when they just kinda waited on each other to grab a low ball between them and some LSU player would come in and get possession.

That just makes it worse than usual. We are so woefully inconsistent in our effort. It's frustrating as hell. It's not just a couple of guys either. It's the whole team. Except for Randolph. I feel like he busts his arse most of the time.

We'd have a pretty good team if you could implant the football team's mindset into their brains.

I think a lot of teams would be pretty good if they could be brainwashed by Saban Randolph duress always give great effort and he's the best athlete we have I wish he would assert himself more and play with the same aggression offensively as he does elsewhere. Some is that is probably coaching philosophy, but Levi could be a real star and creator offensively IMO

Other than Lacey, Releford, and Jacobs, I feel that we get a good consistent effort from our players. The sad thing is that 2 of those three run the point and are our best offensive players and the 3rd is our only offensive presence inside. All 3 of their efforts are based upon how they are doing offensively. It's more than annoying.

I don't care how many we score as long as we destroy them

That'd be nice. I hope we use the up tempo offense we used against LSU.

And Lacey and Releford are also giant whiners to officials.

I almost wish someone would give Lacey a technical sometimes but then he'd probably quit for the rest of the game

I hope they don't score. I'd be fine with a 49-0 final.

That shite's so annoying. He and Releford deserve technicals for all the complaining they do.

On another note, since Grant relies heavily on Dan Hipsher for advice, I thought I'd type his name into twitter just to see if anyone had mentioned him recently. As it turns out, Akron fans have recently been talking about how terrible of a coach he was and how it was such a dark era for Akron hoops when he was head coach. I'm glad he's Grant's trusted wingman

Ok I've ran the numbers, the only chance we have at the tournament is to win out (LOL) or win the SEC tourney (LOL).

NIT! NIT! NIT!

I think he'd be a solid addition. All of our players would at least become 1st round picks on paper. Even Grant couldn't frick that up. Right? RIGHT?

You might as well lump Jacobs in with that group. Jacobs could knock a guy out cold and still have that astonished face with his hands on his head. Once again, the rest of the players usually have a reason to be upset with some of the calls. I'm noticing a pattern here...
