It does say Coach Goff later down the page in the time section though.

Yeah people on twitter were talking about this awhile back and they said this is Goff's list, he just put the wrong year.
Edit: And like Tom said, it says his name on there too

I don't see a damn thing wrong with any of those rules. Goff runs a tight ship...so what? Nothing he's requiring is difficult or too much to ask. Some of you kids need to grow up and start acting like men.
Yeah, you're telling this to a message board. Good luck telling that to a 16 year old and expect him to sign with you.

Exactly. We should start seeing things really changing over the off season.
With the way recruiting has gone so far, it's not going to change for the better.

I've never lost faith in a new coach as fast as Goff. We should cut our losses and let Byrne work his magic.

wont happen guys. Unless he lies steals cheats or sleeps with the wrong person he aint getting canned after 1 year.

I agree with the previous poster. Being hard-nosed is one thing and most of those rules posted are hard-nosed but they're OK but making up rules on the spot like the no hands in the pocket rule is bullshite. That's a guy on a power trip trying to micromanage.
Also, I really want to hear more about this alumni incident. If he really did a ignore previous players, then he should be shite canned. There's no excuse for that not now not ever. Those guys made the program what it is and they deserve some respect.
I wonder if his propensity to hit the junior colleges for recruits as hard as he has in previous stops is because of his demeanor and attitude. I don't think his hard-nosed hard arse attitude without the credentials to back it will play well with high school seniors.
Y'all are right, there's no way he gets canned after one year, but if he doesn't show some results really really fast then I think year two should be the end of this screwup.

Apparently he was absent the entire weekend and just sent one assistant to some function, and that assistant only stayed for a few minutes. Trying to find the Tweet.

The character to disrespect our alumni and the discipline to get suspended after a game is over. Actions speak louder than haircuts.

This isn't football. It's baseball. Those rules are not outside the norm for program baseball rules at all.
Any kid who plays serious baseball understands that, even if he isn't thrilled with all of them.

Keith Holcombe dodged a bullet and gets to miss the remainder of the baseball season because of his shoulder.

I'd like to hear Goff's side too, but it doesn't look like he's even made an effort to address it

I would too. Something like we didn't handle the situation well or properly. Or an explanation. Something besides silence.
Also, question for the baseball people here. I have no problem with his list of rules. They are firm but fair and spelled out for everyone. Here's my question: if this is SOP for major college baseball, why the apparent backlash from the current players? By most accounts there's a mutiny going on.

Someone made the comparison earlier in this thread and they might have nailed it. He is looking more and more like baseball's version of Grant.

The backlash is probably coming from the stupid rules he's making up on the spot that aren't on that list. I would be mad too if he made new rules for every little thing he didn't like. He's there to be a coach, not a control freak. What's putting your hands in your pockets when it's cold gonna hurt (that's one thing he won't let the players do if u didn't already know)?
