We definitely need this series badly. Or we will need crazy things to happen the last two weekends.

Yea the Florida series will pretty much determine what we're playing for the last couple weeks of the season. It's a turning point for sure. I'm confident we'll win it though. Hopefully we'll see Turnbull get back to being an "ace" for us though for the stretch run, we're going to need it.

Not necessarily. Florida, LSU, and MSU still have to play us

Florida still plays Vandy too. LSU has road trips to A&M and Auburn. Ole Miss is sitting pretty though.

I can't remember the last time we had a series as big as the Florida one this weekend. This will be a defining series one way or the other. Hopefully, we get some great crowds.

Bramblett getting the start tomorrow night, no surprise after he didn't pitch at USC. Pretty big midweek game for us. We need to get some momentum back, but Samford actually has a top 65 RPI so a road win would be a nice boost in the RPI for us.

White and Wass hit solo homers in the first, 2-0 Alabama after an inning.

After Haynie and Vincent were retired, White singled and Salem doubled to make it 3-0. Bramblett perfect thru two.

Bramblett walks two with two out in the third, gets a quick, stern talking to from Dax Norris, and strikes out the next batter to end the inning.

White with his second homer, a two run shot scoring Haynie, and it's 5-0.

Bramblett gets the first two out in the 4th, then allows his first hit, issues a walk, gives up an infield single to load the bases, and then walks in a run. Ray Castillo into the game with the bases loaded and two outs, 5-1 B4.

Swinging bunt single makes it 5-2, Castillo strikes out the next batter to leave them loaded. Samford hits one ball out of the infield, scores two in the inning. Walks hurting again.

What happened?

I figured Keller might get a couple of innings tonight.

He pitched a scoreless 6th, gave up a two-out double. Shaw is on to pitch the 7th, guess they just wanted to let Keller shake off any rust from the week off. SU had a man on 2nd with one out, singled into left but Hughston threw the runner out at home for out #2.

Groundout ends the inning. On to the 8th.
