I like the look of that Ashton Morris kid. Good command of some tough to hit pitches. If he continues to locate his slider he will be a very difficult guy to face.

Nice opening weekend for Lebron.

ETA: Just looked at his stats. He's hitting .714 in this series.

We got some hitters for sure. Let's hope our weekend starters can go deep in the game.

Alabama baseball closed Opening Weekend with an 11-4 win over Bradley on Sunday afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium to earn the series sweep. The Crimson Tide have now won 19 consecutive games on Opening Weekend, dating back to 2019. The ballgame was made official after eight innings due to time constraints.

Alabama's lineup recorded double-digit runs and hits for a third consecutive day, finishing with 11 runs and 12 knocks. Jason Torres was the key catalyst for the Tide, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, needing just a double to complete the cycle. Bryce Fowler had three hits in four at-bats, providing three RBI from his leadoff spot. Coleman Mizell launched his second home run in as many days, while Justin Lebron connected on his first home run of 2025.

Bobby Alcock (1-0) got the start and recorded the first win of his Alabama career in a predetermined limited outing. The redshirt senior tallied 3.1 innings with three strikeouts, allowing just three hits and one unearned run. Alabama followed with five relievers, as Beau Bryans, Connor Ball, Braylon Myers and Packy Bradley-Cooney did not allow an earned run. All six Alabama pitchers also picked up at least one strikeout over the course of the afternoon.

Alabama will roll with JT Blackwood against MTSU tomorrow afternoon. Wednesday's starter v. Alabama State is still TBA.

Blackwood saw one inning of action against Bradley on Friday evening. Facing three batters, retiring them all in order.
