We don't beat Tuscaloosa Central High School turning it over like we did. Some of it's Florida and some of its one man dribbling the ball too much.

The problem isn’t on the offensive end guys. The last four ranked opponents we’ve played:

Florida: 77-100 Loss
Vanderbilt: 90-96 Loss
Arizona: 75-96 Loss
Gonzaga: 85-95 Loss

It’s hard to beat good teams when you can’t hold them under 90.

How do our games against Florida usually go? Back and forth for a while then we go cold from three or a have a few turnovers and they run off and hide and we can never get back in it. Why? Because we can’t get consistent stops. They basically got a layup or dunk yesterday any time they wanted it.

That being said, this team isn’t terrible. They will beat A&M at home Wednesday. They will end up around a 5 seed in the tourney. Another Sweet 16 is certainly doable.

Then just see how things shake out. Folks forget that Final Four team struggled through large parts of the regular season as well. They weren’t Oats best team or even his second best team.

But they got placed in a weak region, got hot, and the bracket busted open for them.

Paul W Bryant HS is the basketball power in the county. They’ve won a handful of state titles in 6A in the last decade.

We went into yesterday’s Game 3rd in the country in Turnover rate. Which makes yesterday even more frustrating

Us deciding to medically redshirt Hannah who has nothing wrong with him when Nate has let it be known he is our best defender…lets me know Nate doesn’t care about defense

When you lose to a team and get run off the floor repeatedly.....you got to take a look at what youre doing. Doing the same thing against them isn't working.

I will say…I’m not giving up on this team. The schedule softens up after Saturday and should allow us to go on a run and build chemistry

Hopefully Nate will be able to get this team into the Tournament.

Why redshirt anybody? If a kid is worth a damn, he'll probably be gone long before his FIVE year career in Tuscaloosa is up.

There is a factor of not enough minutes to go around but broadly I agree. Especially with the guard injuries we've had...just play him. I don't think concerning yourself with a player's eligibility is realistic these days. When their counter runs out ain't your problem...use them if they're available.

Only thing I could think is Hannah has expressed he plans to transfer and Nate is both, no longer going to play him and also going to give him a chance to save the year.
