I picked Alabama in the score predication thread, but I have a terrible feeling about this game. Just don’t think our offense can get it done.

I guess maybe Stewart IS playing? Who knows.

Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart is dressed out and participating in pregame warmups. Huge news for the Aggies.

Why would our ILB be covering a WR?

They will be targeting him with Smith and others from the backfield and until he shows he can run.

Here is his draft scouting report:

Go back and watch how Petrino used to setup wheel routes from RB/backfield guys against LBs in space his entire career at Arkansas against Bama.

Even if Lawson is 100%, he's not keeping up with Smith (nor is any other ILB in the country). So that's on Steele to ensure our LBs aren't covering WRs (regardless of where they're lined up).

Depending on the look and our ability to stop the run we might be in Dime to avoid that.

Do we agree he is going to have to cover RBs running pass routes today?

Whether its Smith (who does in fact line up back there at times) or anyone else, Petrino is going to go after him until he shows he can run.

I mean, I think he'll go after him (or any other ILB) regardless of whether Lawson can run because even if Lawson is 100% it's still an insane mismatch.

Deontae Lawson (ankle) is beside Trezmen Marshall in the middle of Alabama's first-team defense in full-team drills to end warmups.

Jermaine Burton was also one of the first receivers on the field for the Crimson Tide's first offense.

I absolutely expect Petrino to call a wheel route at some point in the 1st quarter.

I am SO glad we have probably the best field goal kicker in college today. We may need him.

I forgot who our second east opponent was and looked it up. @kentucky? That game looks a lot tougher now than a month ago

I might've yelled “WATCH THE WHEEL ROUTE!” at my TV as that was happening.
