Was that the butt flinch game where a FG was taken off the board because Arie Kouandjio flinched?

The re-kick was no good.

There was a 28 yd FG attempt, and then a 5 yard false start penalty on Bama, then the 33 yard FG attempt was missed with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter when it was tied at 21-21.

Saban inadvertently put pressure on kickers.

This makes no sense. Any kicker should know what is expected of him. Saban didn't go out of his way and threaten the guys' families.

When I think of college coaches that were affected the most by missed field goals, two coaches come to mind: Bobby Bowden and Nick Saban.

Another "miss" in this game that doesn't show up in the stats is the attempt to go for it on 4th and 1 at the AU 13 yard line with 5 minutes to go in the game. Bama is up 7 at this point and every coach in the country would just kick a 30 yarder to put your team up 2 scores with this little time left. But Yeldon is stopped for no gain and AU takes over on downs. Inexplicably, we still try another FG from further out later on (not the infamous final kick) and of course miss that.

If I remember correctly whoever was playing TE at that time completely missed their block and Yeldon was hit the second he had the football. I knew right then we were screwed. However, thinking back we were so weak in the secondary FSU and that tall receiver Benjamin would have torched us.
