Damien Harris is #1 rb for a reason. He is our most complete back(run, pass, block). I love #8..he would start if not for Damien. Najee and Brian can/will be #1 in time...not this year. Bama backfield is LOADED!

He should have started Tua last year. He stuck with Jalen out of loyalty or something. Georgia almost won it all with a true freshman quarterback and I think Tua is much better than Fromm and was last year too. In case you guys haven't noticed Tua isn't your average quarterback. He is a future number one pick in the draft. His big plays would have made up for the freshman mistakes. Saban is the goat but he should have ended the Hurts era early last year. He isn't perfect and he made a bad decision last year. Behind us now though so I guess I probably shouldn't have even posted this even though it is obvious. The average Bama fan is a sunshine pumper and when someone says anything that is negative at all he is lambasted by the majority even if he is right. I love Bama and Saban but I don't wear crimson shades and call a spade a spade. He lost a five star receiver from our state last year by sticking with a terrible quarterback.

Just out of curiosity, CD ... are you going to bring this same thing up in essentially every thread, regardless of the original topic?

Yep, this really pisses me off. Hurts cost us an Iron Bowl and almost a national championship too. Saban is the GOAT, but Tua should have been starting since about Game 3 last year

Bro I didn't bring it up. I just responded to a poster that was discussing it. I am not running into every thread with this shite either. My response was relevant to what that poster said.

I wish he would have. Then maybe we'd have won a national championship.

When do you bench the 2016 SEC POY?

Maybe. But you cannot say this with any degree of certainty that would cause me to second guess Saban on this matter. I can just as easily say that Tua's inexperience could have cost Bama a game.

Yea, you probably shouldn't have. You've been shitting all over Hurts since the 2017 NC game. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back.

That recruit saw the depth Bama had at WR & did not want to compete. Of course he is not going to admit that so he claimed Bama did not pass the ball enough to suit him. This is specious if you look t the history of Saban's offenses at Alabama.

True. However, it seems like you've posted variations of that message enough that everyone on this board has probably seen it a few times. There's really no need to keep on restating it.

I hope he doesn't get discouraged and transfer after this season. Then again it could be Najee that gets discouraged.

I'm generally a sunshine pumper but I was solidly in Tua's camp last year. I don't really think he should have started early in the season though, but at least by the Auburn game. Thinking that Tua was the better qb, though, isn't being counter to pumping sunshine. It's just seeing the obvious. Matter of fact, if not for the sunshine, I probably wouldn't have seen it. I would have been in the dark, thinking this is the best we can do.

Not really the case. In Ross' own words....

"When asked what the Tide have to do to impress him moving forward, his answer centered around making sure other receivers outside of Ridley are involved.

“I do feel like they have to spread the ball around more, but it’ll come in due time,” Ross said. “I was expecting a bit more, to be honest. I didn’t get that. I’ll probably get that in the future, though.”
---------------------------------------------------

Of course, that spreading the ball around never happened with Hurts.

Huh? The guy was going to be 4th or 5th on depth chart at Bama. That's a lot of bodies to climb over. He'll probably be 3rd @ Clemson where they have a a shortage of WRs. That's all there was to it.

You don't really know that, but even if he did start as the 4th or 5th receiver he'd get some looks with Tua, and have a chance to move up. Waddle already is getting some playing time and Rivals had Justyn Ross ranked ahead of him.

What I do know, for a fact, is what the man said. So I can believe what some guy on a message board says that Ross really meant, or I can believe what the guy said. I think I'll go with Ross knowing what he really meant, over the message board guy.
