Pass is not a freshman. He is a redshirt sophomore according to their roster here.

I don't think so, Tim. He's very good but I think depth chart has it correct. I think Najee has the will end up being the best of the bunch.

I like Najee but I think he relies on trying to overpower defenders too much. He doesn't have that wiggle or quickness I like to see in a RB. I think Robinson has that. With that said, I think Damien Harris is the best RB we have.

I'm very sadly (and 100% hope I'm dead wrong) certain that Tua will miss a few games with the way he plays and the kind of defenses we're going to face in the SEC Wes

Random thoughts and notes:

I'd argue that our front 7 were the stars on defense. Louisville had 26 rushes for 16 yards.

I do wonder why we had so many breakdowns between the LBs and DBs. I wonder how Thompsons & Wilsons communication is.

Diggs was super quiet. I think he had 0 tackles and 1 pass break up. I think Christian Miller only had one tackle.

Quinnen annihilated LVille. Kaho had 3 tackles and was an immediate help.

Hopefully, our kicking game gets cleaned up. We were 33% on touchbacks, 85% on PATs, and 50% on FGs.

Waddle had 146 All Purpose Yards which lead the team.

Tua should not have ANY called running plays.

The QB sweep for a TD he audibled into. It is a standard play designed to deal with A gap pressures. After he ran it in there was a notable decrease in those blitzes from Louisville.

Sometimes a designed QB run is necessary for those reasons as well. You will take fewer hits from blitzes over the course of the game.

I posted in the other thread about Locksleys playcalling about that call, it was a brilliant playcall.

If you have Tua, you run him, it’s a huge part of what makes him Tua. Some of you need to accept that right now.

To not run him would be a crime.

- Athleticism. I think this is the most athletic team of the Saban era. Also the smallest.

Not on offense. People on other boards have been referring to Tua as small because of the size of the OL and our backs and WRs he is lining up with.

Najee is the best breakaway runner on the team and he is a load once he is in the opponents secondary. By the end of the season and in the playoffs I feel he will be the primary RB. Right now Damien is prized because of his skill in the passing game.

Everyone is overreacting on Najee while ignoring that he’s not 100%.

another thing the cultists who have decided that saban has some weird agenda not to play the best players ignore. add it to the long list.

I disagree and if that happens I will be surprised.

Yes they are a weird bunch and apparently they do not understand the intricacies of coaching. I will go with Saban- even though the reasons may not be readily apparent- and his 5 decades of coaching experience over those guys.

Saban sees and evaluates players on a daily basis and he will not put young players in positions where they may lose confidence and impact their future development.

I’m not ready to say that Robinson is the best back on the team, but I’d like to see him carry the ball more. He does have the best size/speed combination of all of them and that’s including Najee. Robinson didn’t have eye popping high school numbers but he’s the fastest and the biggest guy we have back there and he is a tank to tackle.

Jones can throw better than Hurts.

It tells me we were up a ton of points in the 4th quarter.

I'd like to think that wasn't the first Alabama game you've ever watched.

I also worry that Saban uses Najee in the Bo role of smashing and wearing down the offense. Not saying Najee couldn't be that type of running back, but he inst necessarily going to always pick up big yards

Josh Jacobs is our best back. I think D Harris, Najee and B-Rob are all elite backs but Jacobs will be starting for an NFL team one day. Our RB corps it out of this world.

Can any of you remember Saban putting in the third string QB in a game? I can't come up with another example.
