I saw a stat today that said 42 of the last 100 recruits that signed with Alabama has entered the portal. Can anyone confirm? If so that’s crazy.

Nah not that crazy when you consider the nature of Bama recruiting mostly kids that are used to being among the best in the country. I’d say with the way today’s generation operates, 42% of them wanting to go where they can find an easier path seems about right

That number needs to come down, and the development needs to improve in certain areas. LB and OL first and foremost.
OL has been addressed. If Pete is staying, move him to safeties. For the love, get a better teacher for the ILB position.

Pete doesn't need to stay and he doesn't understand dbs and their fit in the defense so he doesn't need to coach them either. Let him wash cars or something.

Saban used to have to work hard and manipulate the system to get the dead wood out of the program. Now all he has to do is suggest they hit the portal at the end of the year.

I don’t see this as a problem.
When you’re signing the top guys like Alabama does you’re going to have people leave when they aren’t playing in today’s CFB.

That “42” is inflated. It’s not 42 signed players. It includes walkons.
