I can probably put out some feelers as to why though.

He was the only non-injured player on the entire team to not take a single snap this season.

I wonder if this opens a roster spot up for a transfer WR?

My feeler (one of his mom’s best friends husband) said he hasn’t been happy there all year. Was a Saban guy and didn’t want to play for deboer but his parents made him stick his commitment out.

Plenty of time to fill out the roster. No worries about it now.

This kid has been in the portal less than an hour and is already at 100 % prediction for Tennessee. I know he’s from Chattanooga but that’s a pretty quick turnaround

Guarantee it’s a baseball thing. He will probably get drafted at both. To hear my buddy tell it, he really didn’t like the coaching staff at bama.

Would be a fair trade in my opinion.

Tennessee fans would trade squirrel white for a half chewed pack of gum. He hasn’t been great for them this year and apparently starts a lot of shite in the locker room. They say he and Nico can’t stand each other.

Any details to why?

We basically had no WRs develop all year and I got bashed for daring to say we need a need WR coach

Hard to develop WRs when the QB doesn't see them running wide open on every play.

He is widely regarded as one of the top WR coaches in the country…. Kinda speaks to our WRs IMO

All I get is that he was recruited by Saban and wanted to play for him. Said his parents wanted him to stick out his commitment and the quote from his momma “he was just never really happy there” and “didn’t really like the coaches” or at least that’s what his mommas friend just told me. This isn’t a new development this was being said during the season. Which from what I know of him (he played 7 on 7 with my nephew for a bit) he is a super cool headed kid. So if he really didn’t like the staff that would be very odd.

I don’t like the staff either so seems fair.

One was running open. That was #5.

The others weren't that good. We literally didn't care they left. From Odom dropping TDs, to Law fumbling and Prentice being a shadow.

QB sucked but those guys did too.

We saw Ryan Williams start the season on fire and literally phase out with lazy routes, dropped balls and lack of effort blocking.

We also saw #4 from OSU begin the season like Ryan but just get better and better.

Hopefully it is someone who could play 3 technique DT in our scheme. I like what I saw from James Smith but we need more depth there. Would be nice if it were a starter quality guy caught in a logjam at Georgia but I think we'd take a guy who is more of a rotation behind Smith guy too.
