Pretty amazing that I get ridiculed for every opinion expressed here and called an “Auburn troll”, but meantime Auburn at least signs a number of DLs while Alabama continues to whiff on almost every DL A-list target on the board. The only ones in the 2025 class are a project from MS and a re-sign from the 24 class.
And let’s settle this foolishness about being an “Auburn troll”. I will wager anyone here who wants to challenge my academic/university allegiances to accept my offer. I will pay anyone here any amount you care to risk up to $100,000 if I meet you in person and can’t produce my diploma from the University of Alabama. Sadly, I already know that the pathetic losers who have nothing more clever than calling a dissenter a troll from another fanbase will just laugh and continue to ridicule because they offer nothing more than juvenile knee-jerk replies.

I've never said you are a barner but I will say that I think you have stunningly bad takes.
The weird obsession about Auburn's in-state recruiting in general weak recruiting classes within the state is bizarre.
The belief that a DE prospect considered to be in the 15-20 range at his position if he declared is a first rounder is bizarre.

Sine you have a 100k to wager on whether you have a degree from the U of A, my suggestion would be to donate that 100k to the NIL program to "help keep" Bama from getting outbid for these DL propects Bama keeps whiffing on in your eyes...I can promise you this, your bitching across 3-4 different threads about the matter isn't accomplishing a damn thing.

I have no obsession with anything about Auburn. My point is that this staff badly needs to re-establish Alabama as a major recruiting threat both in-state and the Deep South. If that doesn’t happen, don’t expect to compete for titles, period.
Moreover, I really just get a kick out of those who spend so much emotional energy on their favorite sports teams. Not to mention the $$$ spent. I was there once upon a time before it finally dawned on me how unhealthy it was in so many respects. But, hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Believe me, 20 or more years ago, if I had had an extra $100K or more laying around, I would have done just that. I have since grown and matured so far past that stage of life that such a thought both disgusts me and makes me laugh. And to see Greg Byrne groveling about it is truly sad. His very livelihood depends on that stuff now. The question is, how close to the breaking point is this crazy business model?

Aside from that, if anyone here wants to believe that Alabama’s lack of in-state and regional recruiting success, or lack of DL recruiting success is sustainable on a national championship level, more power to ya. At some point we have to address the lack of development of DL talent. Please correct me if I'm wrong by the last dominant DL we had was Quinnen Williams.
