Ok, this time I am responding to you. Who are you having this debate with? Who is saying they believe these guys have inside knowledge of the program or believe them if they claim they do? I'm so lost with this. I don't believe anybody who thinks they are making anything other than educated guesses. Even when guys say it is a lock cause of Hank's and Tim's crystal, I've never taken that as they were told by someone inside the Bama program, just that they cover the recruits and the program closely so they have a better chance than most of being right. Are people claiming otherwise?

I don't think grad transfers count towards the recruiting limit. I'm not 100% sure to be honest, but they don't count them in the recruiting stuff, and I think Saban is probably more credible than you are.

Grad transfer would only count towards the 85. Not the class just inked.

Saban was just being pissy IMO WE COULD have taken more than 3 IMO. Baker and Burroughs signed at 630am and George has already signed so are we saying we wouldn’t have taken Jasckson? Don’t think so . Busy so SIAP

Bama had 27 available signing limit spots and wanted to sign both Jackson & Rakestraw. Bama had no intentions of taking Jayson Jones. Imo, that's what they should've told him, instead of the BS about blueshirting him if he was willing to play OL.

Was Jackson the guy who supposedly decided months ago?
I don't keep up with all the recruiting stuff because 17 year olds etc. But I seem to remember there was one that had decided long ago. My guess is Saban already knew as well.
I could be wayyyyy off on the name here though.

That's not true. He'll count against signing and and initial counter limits when he gets his initial countable scholarship and signs the aid agreement for it.

He said he knew where he wanted to go a year ago but I wouldn’t put much stock in that , hell he committed to LSU

According to a very well connected poster on BOL. Saban didnt have any good reason for not being honest with Jayson Jones either, but he wasn't honest with him.

Whatever happened, it means more room and less processing during the off season. Our program is in great shape with scholarships and I remember the shitty Shula days when signing a couple of four stars would've been cause for a party. People complaining need to remember those hellish days.
