Two losses by eight points with this level of "talent" on the field is why I continue to say this is Saban's best overall coaching job.

And he did it with a shamefully soft schedule and it took him literally (no shite) an entire calendar year to beat just one ranked team.
That 10 and 2 record doesn't happen against a schedule worth watching. Oh I don't know, a schedule like A&M's for instance or even Auburn's.
Nope. Scratch the surface on that 10 and 2 record and it looks pretty sad.
I'm not moved by anyone's "coaching job" this year.

Surge, what are your thoughts on Baker and Burroughs? It seems to me as long as they make the grades they will be in the class. I know things can change especially if you aren't signed but they have been so locked in to Bama all this fall it is hard to believe they are going anywhere. Have you heard anything about them? I know we have to wait until Feb to see where George is going *wink*, but if Baker, Burroughs, and George hold, right now who do you think feels the last 1-2 spots?

Bama typically wont give a guy an NLI to sign if they think there's a serious risk he can't qualify. Instead, they'll offer to save a spot for him. At least, that's what they've done before with high-risk guys like Jordan Davis and Nadab Joseph. Burroughs and Baker both want in bigly, so hopefully they're taking care of business on their grades and ACT scores. I think Bama will also aim to add Rakeshaw, Frazier, and one of Collins or Jackson. I dont think Jayson Jones will be in Bama's class.

If it is one spot for Rakeshaw, Frazier, Collins, and Jackson who would you think they would take or who would you take?

Bama has 5 more signing spots., so they might use them all if they expect enough graduations and transfers to fit everyone within the 85 limit.
1. DT Burroughs
2. WR Baker
3. CB Rakeshaw
4. TE Frazier
5. DE Collins or DL Jackson
They're all good players.

Moses, McMillon, Leatherwood, Smitty and possibly Najee returning is great, but it does cause more of a numbers crunch vs the 85 limit than usual in the last few years.

Well we would've been undefeated against Clemson's schedule so I guess it's all relative isn't it?
