But Ennis Rakestraw is a scrub, according to the self-proclaimed experts' player rankings.

Last offseason, Ennis Rakestraw tried to go to an All-American camp. He was denied. “I cried, & I made sure that any All-American that stepped in front of me, I was going to make them pay.”

Get this guy in the fold, now

That's the sort of "fvck you" attitude I want to see back in this program (especially combined with the actual ability and results to do what he said he wanted to do).

Is this guy an Eddie Jackson type prospect? What's the story here?

Surge, I posted this question in the main football thread but I will ask here as well. Out of the DE/OLB types coming this spring and or fall, who stands out as the most likely to take a job or at least maybe be our third down rush specialist? Any alphas among these guys? Thanks.

That's a very good but very tough question. All of the OLB prospects Bama landed in the 2020 class are very talented, and Will Anderson might be the best of the bunch as they're coming in the door. But Jarez Parks and the two OLB propects we landed in last year's class, King Mwikuta and Kevin Harris shouldn't be overlooked either. Christopher Allen probably has an inside track to be one of the starting OLBs. And despite all of the talented options, I wouldn't be shocked to see our guru DC Pete Golding choose to play Ben Davis at the other one (a la Tevita Musika at NT). So, trying to predict this early who's most likely to win a starting job at OLB is a guess, imo.

2020 Projected Roster (85-man) * = redshirt
Bold name = potential departure or addition

Outside Linebacker (8-9)
SR: B Davis*
JR: Allen*
SO: Parks*, Mwikuta
FR: K Harris*, Braswell, Anderson, D Sanders, Q Robinson
