I also do not think tino would have tweeted that if we wouldn’t get somebody unexpected. I expect one surprise. One of mcellan, Washington, or Jarrett. Possibly two

If all these projections and conjectures are close to the truth we won't be signing many on Wednesday and most of our top candidates are going to stiff us.
Let the chips fall where they may.
Saban will still out a couple of rabbits out of the hat.

Also I anticipate some of our recruits to get bumped after all star games to boost our class. A la drew sanders, Robinson, etc.

It's not a disaster, but it's not going to be a windfall Wed. Surge, appreciate what you do here, but I have to disagree with your projection. A Smith is our best shot and that a 50/50.
LSU is getting the kids they want, and they are making sure we use some of our resources on them too.
Like Bo said, Bama won't pay for play.
I will be extremely happy to eat crow, but I want our Bama brethren to temper hopes too.

How solid is Bryce Young's commitment to Alabama? Is he 100 percent locked in?

AL/MS High School All-Star Game (full game link from YouTube)

I haven't found any highlights from the game.

He says he is, but one of the USCw mods said he was told to not be shocked if Young signs with Southern Cal on Wednesday.

That makes no sense to me. The only way I saw Young giving USC a shot is if they had made a coaching change. They are stacked with young QBs and their true freshman starter this season had a great year.

USC’s QB room is packed, I don’t see that happening

I paraphrased Tim Watts' nuggets earlier this morning so I guess I'll do the same for Rusty Mansell's Dawg Treats from the Dawgs247 site:

- In his opinion Darnell Washington is down to Georgia and Tennessee. A source told him Washington's mind was made up last week, but wouldn't say who it was. Naturally, he's leaning towards Georgia still.

- Arian Smith's visit to Athens went well. This is going to be a battle to the end, just like Trey Sanders last year.

It also looks like Georgia is going to flip Jermaine Burton from LSU. He took a surprise OV to Athens this weekend.

So far, I've said "I think" Timothy Smith and Darnell Washington will sign with Bama on Wed and why. I also said "I like our chances" of landing Arian Smith and flipping McClellan and Jarrett, but I didn't say I'm projecting or predicting them to be a part of this class. I also posted my confidence levels on top targets. But, I've also said that these recruiting battles are fluid situations; i.e., meaning difficult to predict.

So, it's actually quite possible that we don't add anyone to this class during the early signing period and lose Timothy Smith. How's that for tempering hopes?

Hey saint, isn't he tight with Gilbert? Would be nice if he goes to UGA with him. Increases our odds with DW.

Dead period, so the only people talking are the kids with one another.

Hope BY can get a receiver or 2 on Wed for us
