The NCAA has no control.. and the SEC really put a egg on its face last year. A very Good team from the east was turned in for cheating for pulling a kid out of a state with payment and a truck. The team that turned them in was a local sec team that just got caught recently and wanted to justify that it wasn’t only them cheating. The evidence was very damning.. PI was even invoked. SEC swept it under the rug to not put a egg on the conference as a whole and made claims of illegal wire taps. Told the school to basically back down due to the illegal manner in which some of the evidence was obtained. Pandora’s box was opened

I will never say we don’t do it on some level.. but it has always been a limit. Saban doesn’t want to ruin everything he built by a scandal. It goes against all he has preached on building kids. It would erase all he has done.. he won’t go for it. Now a shrimp boat captain looking to save his career might.. now let it be legal that we can pay due to likeness and it might get ugly..lol We damn sure have the boosters.. but Saban did a good job of telling them it’s his way or no way. Our don’t go Rogue.. other coaches really have no control and some embrace it

I hope we can land Webb too.. but he is a OLB.. we need a ILB. I just for the life of me can’t understand how we can’t land a solid in state recruit at a position of need. Meanwhile LSU has 2 other ILBer already committed. Bama has always been known for ILBers being great and we can’t beg one to come here the last 3 years.. guys should be knocking our door down to come. It’s very strange
