Is the Hill flip because we may get the kid that was or is committed to Auburn?

Hill didn’t exactly flip. He decommited quite a while ago.

Yep. Xavier Hill decommitted Oct 3. Bama didn't try hard to hang on to him, probably due to grade concerns. The chatter then was that he'd soon commit to MSU. Apparently he cooled on them due to their losing season and HC looking at other jobs. In the mean time, Bama moved on in another direction -- Javion Cohen who looks like a better and more versatile OL prospect, imo.

Reggie Grimes is rated N0 17 in the country by ESPN. What the heck.

If that was legit, he'd be a Bama commit.

I've seen rumors that he was ours to take but he didn't have a commitable offer? Is that true? Cuz if we weren't willing to let him commit either we know something about him others don't or we have some big commits waiting in the wings.

I was surely thinking MSU.. even spoke to him a few times at State games. Personally I would pick LSU over MSU as a player..lol but seemed like state was in the drivers sear and the kid really was all state. I know his grades are a big question.. so maybe that’s it.

Head scratcher on Hill. If spots are at a premium at LSU because they are getting everybody, then why take a chance on a kid that may not qualify. Just to say that you are winning the recruiting battles with Alabama? UGA did that with Joseph and it hasn’t paid off.

It’s Rivalry Weekend in College Football to wrap up the season and several programs are also taking advantage in hosting top targets for the last regular season game of the year. 247Sports highlights some of those visits here.
The Egg Bowl gets the weekend rolling
Mississippi State currently sits on the nation’s No. 21 recruiting class with a pair of JUCO DBs in Starkville for Thursday night’s showdown with Ole Miss. Hutchinson C.C. cornerback Jakorian Bennett got in with his mother on Wednesday and his teammate in fellow CB LINK ]Ronald Williams arrives on Thursday morning. Bennett will later visit Maryland and Ole Miss before making a final decision, but the Bulldogs appear to be in a good spot as they also battle LSU and SMU. Big weekend at Florida

Really like Timothy smith. Way underrated in my opinion. That film is something else. I know mike Farrell loves him and thinks he has the potential of a 5 star. I expect a rating bump soon for him. Hope we can hang on to him
