This is just me guessing but I only see Bama taking one more WR. Nothing I've seen indicates that Bama would drop any of the 3 we have committed.
Really looking at it you could take two WR and not lose anyone if you take 28 with Jayson Jones dropping. You would have 6 spots*
Gilbert
Joseph
Webb or Banks
WR1
WR2
McKinnley
One other decommit lands space for Burch or McClellan (or Evans if you are so inclined)
*Trying to guess spots in a recruiting class is silly and should only be done by lunatics and Bama insiders
ETA: Damn it Surge stop doing stuff in post above my reply

Caden is the most obvious if we land Gilbert. I think Jayson Jones (could end up at GT) is on thin ice and I could see one of the other OL losing a spot. I could also see McClellan or Evans bumping the Louisiana back out. That’s 3-4 right there.

I could be wrong but I don't think Caden's spot is influenced by Gilbert, we are light at TE. If space gets tight and Burch or a RB wants it may influence who wants to stay in the class. I can't see us losing an Olineman with only 3 committed and not replacing them with another one. Have we ever had only 2 Oline in a class?

Trust me when I tell you, this is the worst part of the process. Someone discrediting a family member/saying they’ll be bumped for someone that’s better. I understand why people do it, just letting you know as a family member it absolutely sucks.

You may be right, bro. That said, we are light on TE talent right now but not numbers. By my count we currently have 6 scholarship TEs with only Amos graduating. We bring in two new guys and we have 7 TEs on scholarship next year? That’s not light, that’s super heavy. I agree that we need at least 3 OL in this class but we have two guys currently committed at DL that may be better on the OL. Who knows that the coaches are thinking.

JJ, that makes sense. Hate it for family members, but fans are going to discuss their teams and recruiting classes and speculate. Nothing personal, and frankly, I think most family members would be wise to stay off of fan message boards entirely unless they have really thick skin and a good sense of humor. You seem to have both.

Anyone know what's up with Trey Sanders recovery ?
Broken foot is usually 6-8 weeks, or did he dislocate something ?

Amos graduating and Latu will likely move back to defense.

Foot injury of some sort but I agree. Obviously was more serious than the typical bone fracture or he’d be back by November at the latest. Almost sounds like an ankle dislocation or something nasty like that.

Hmmm, I’d heard the staff liked Latu more at TE. Guess we will see.

Probably should say could move back to D more than likely. If Jones chooses to look elsewhere the only 2 way lineman in the class would be Latham.

I agree that even with Gilbert, Caden Clark (mainly blocking TE) may stay in the class. But maybe not, because I think Latu is going to be a real good TE by next fall. I doubt he'll be moved back to defense. I think Billingley will be a good one too.
I think Bama wants to keep Kyle Edwards (very underrated "sleeper") even if they land McClellan or Evans.
If Bama gets another OL such as Dumervile, I suppose Hill might choose to flip to MSU. Perhaps George is another OL who might not stick. Keep in mind that Latham plays & projects well at both DL and OL, but he also appears to have a backup plan -- Ole Miss. I think Jayson Jones (DL/OL) is pretty likely to flip, perhaps to GT. Idk how high Bama is on Omari Thomas (DL/OL).
But like you said, it's really hard to project at this point how this class will finish.

I kind of feel that way too. I get the sense that the staff is happy with Roydell and Edwards and if McCllelan or Evans want in they will make it work.
Is there any real smoke with Dumervil? Seems as though Omari Thomas is the more likely commit.

It's hard to tell yet on Dumervil. There is pretty strong mutual interest with him, and Omari Thomas too. Need to get Dumervil on campus. DL and OL is still pretty murky at this point.
ETA: John Garcia just CBd Dumervil to LSU, and it sounds like LSU is in a good spot with him. But he's pretty likely to take his two remaing OVs to Bama and tOSU. He's a legit OT prospect, but also a versatile OL. Showed out against top DLs, including Besee, and edge rushers at camps.
Btw, this LINK ]Depth Distribution chart is pretty cool. Link is in this threads 1st post.

Is there any film of Jordan Banks playing standing up. Looks athletic as hell with his hands in the dirt.

This is exactly what I thought about when JJ said that.
