Rankings Bubble Talk: Who is on the cusp of the Rivals100?
quote:
William Anderson is a player I do not think is talked about enough. He is an Alabama commit and one of the top edge rushers in the South. Playing his senior season as a 'Bama commit will put an X on his chest, so a lot of eyes will be on him. With that, he has a chance to make a statement and make a move up the rankings throughout the fall.

Alabama Football: What’s next in Crimson Tide recruiting
Check out what position needs are left for 2020 Alabama football recruiting, including which recruit could announce next.
The Alabama football 2020 class sits with 22 verbal commits after the recent and expected decommit from Javier Morton. Based on credible insider reports the exit by Morton was a mutual decision.
It is fair to assume the Crimson Tide will sign another five to seven players, reaching a final class of 27 or 28 players.
If the additions total seven, at least one current commit will end up going elsewhere.

Nick Saban recruits to fill needs and that will not change between now and December.
What does the Crimson Tide still need? A tight end (or two), a quarterback, a wide receiver, a linebacker (or two), a couple of defensive backs and at least two defensive linemen.
That could be as many as 10 more players even without another offensive lineman or running back.
Let’s consider how those numbers might work.
A first assumption is the current number drops to 21 or even 20 players.
From that, add one tight end, one QB, one WR, one linebacker, two defensive backs and two defensive linemen. Many recruiting experts believe Nick Saban would also make room for RB Zachary Evans. Add to the wish list another offensive lineman.

Top targets considering open slots
5-Star, Tight End, Arik Gilbert or 5-Star Darnell Washington
4-Star, Quarterback, Bryce Young or no QB
4-Star, Wide Receivers – One of Kayshon Boutte, Arian Smith or Xzavier Henderson
Linebackers – 4-Star, Phillip Webb or 4-Star Jordan Banks or 5-Star Noah Sewell
Defensive Backs- 4-Star Cornerback prospect Joel Williams will announce on Sept. 9 and most recruiting experts he will roll with the Crimson Tide.
Although qualifying academically, coming out of community college is still a concern, the Alabama football staff is very high on Nadab Joseph. So high, it is thought the staff might hold a spot for him.
Defensive Line – making room for three more is not totally out of the question.
The names to watch are McKinnley Jackson, Jamil Burroughs and Jaquelin Roy.
The Crimson Tide staff is fighting to replace one of those names with 5-Star Jordan Burch.
More than a few of the players listed above are verbally committed to other programs.
It is a long way to December, much less February.
Flips will abound across college football before the class is finished.

Zachary Evans updates:
UGA "insider" posters on other sites that UGA fans on this site consider reliable have predicted that Evans will announce his commitment to UGA on Thursday Sep 5th at 1 pm (link).
Reliable BOL "insiders" are saying that Evans is suspended for three games due to a sideline altercation with one of his coaches last week. It appears he may have been benched then, since he only had 10 carries for 37 yards.

Sideline altercation with his coach? If true, keep him away from Tuscaloosa.

Didn’t some of these insiders already call a commit to UGA in the last few weeks?
Their insiders are starting to interpret Evan’s recruitment like people have with Nostradamus. The world has already need destroyed several times so I guess Evans committing to UGA could commit multiple times as well.

Yeah, this is the 2nd prediction by UGA "insiders" of a set date and time for Evans to announce he's committing to Georgia. When the first one didn't happen, some UGA posters, said he decided to delay it, because an aggiefootballnetwork IG leaked it and spoiled his surprise.

PSA: This thread's 1st post is now updated to reflect which of our 2020 commits plan to enroll early, but Hank (BOL) hasn't heard back yet from Thaiu Jones-Bell and Xavier Hill. He'll reach out to our top targets next.

While most UGA fans are confident Zach Evans will be a Dawg, I would say those confident that tomorrow is the day he commits - are in the minority. Not holding my breath on that one.

Why are so many UGA fans so confident in their "insiders" saying Evans will be a Dawg, but then not confident in them saying he's committing tomorrow?
