Nick Saban has really broken some LSU fans as evidenced by this thread and it is glorious.

Dylan has really chapped their arse. One guy said they would have done a better job at developing him. Like Alabama has a track record for not developing LBs.

That seems to happen every year. I feel confident that McKinstry and Brooks will end up here.

Hunter has 5 CBs, Brooks and McKinstry have 1.
Demouy Kennedy and Q Robinson were actually committed to Auburn last summer.

I feel like our and Auburn's recruiting cycles are not in sync when it comes to in state kids. Seems like they offer them and start to recruit them hard sooner than we do, which leads most of them to trend Auburn's way until they get an offer from us, which tends to change things.

I agree. For example, Lee Hunter doesn't even have a Bama offer, but I suspect that will change within the next few months.

They always are early on. It feels like some homer puts in a prediction for auburn as soon as they have a profile.

Will Gus even be at AU next year?

I don't think that they should be allowed to put "crystal ball" picks in for Juniors and younger. Maybe after their Junior football season, but not before then.
Posted on 7/31/19 at 12:11 pm to Cobrasize
Some schools already have commits that haven't played their junior season yet (2021 class). So making CB picks seems ok to me -- but not prior the point the NCAA allows them to take unofficial vists. CBing prior to that seems kind of silly.

LINK ]In-state 5-star talks Alabama visit
(BamaOnLine-VIP)
2021 5-star OLB Dylan Brooks 6-5/225 AL hudl
“It’s in Alabama, it’s close, If you want to win... that’s the place to go. You can compete against the best every day. Then just the opportunities you have after football there... The outside linebackers they produce, they’re very good,” he said of why he could see himself in T-Town.
Note: Brooks visited UA on July 26, AU on July 30 and has visited both pretty frequently this year.
ETA: Hank said, "I think it's close between Alabama and Auburn for him. He has some family ties to the Tigers, but I'm not sure how big of a role that plays. I'd probably lean a little towards Bama right now."

Long way to go in the 2021 cycle.

During the August Dead Period, it'll probably be pretty quiet on the recruiting front, except for potential commitments listed on the post above. I suppose Bryce Young could flip, but it doesn't appear to be expected that soon.

Gus had to lessen his buyout and beg for another year. I don’t get kids lining up to go play for Gus.

Auburn's recruiting has been average the last few years and Bama has destroyed them with instate recruits this year and last year.
Seth Williams is about the only good in state guy they have gotten the last few years and that is because Bama didn't let him commit to them so they could go after Ross.
Auburn usually offers in state guys before Bama does, that is why they usually have a lot of in state guys commit early before they flip to Bama.
