I feel like this is directed at one more than the other. Hall's per minute rebound numbers were very solid.

Loved everything he said, especially about the offense. I can't wait to see an up-tempo offense.

haha, but why can't this just be the EVERYTHING basketball thread? we have literally 8...9..maybe 10 people who post on the basketball page. lets just keep all basketball stuff here and not have to worry about going back and forth checking 2 threads

Bc I'm the one who made this thread and I'm too lazy to edit it and put the schedule and everything like someone did last year. Once he makes that thread, well just keep everything in that one and ditch this one (or not bc BigBird doesn't want to lol)

Nooo keep them separate. I don't won't to have to search through in-game posts to find recruiting information. I'm too lazy for that shite

Here's a regular VIP thread titled "John Petty". Don't know what it's about but hopefully it's got some insider info or something LINK

An insider on one of the boards (not sure who or which) supposedly said that Petty committed to Calipari on the in-home visit. Don't know about the reliability of the poster, but several say he's legit. Let's hope it's not true.

If we strike out on Petty AND Sexton, that's a problem

Means we absolutely have to get Sexton.

Love how CAJ goes around the state to promote. You couldn't get Grant off his arse to go talk with the media in Tuscaloosa.

Herb Jones 86th player in the country.
Alex Reese 87th best player in the country.
Rayshaun Hammonds 50th best player in the country.

If we get just those players, it will be the best class since Levi and Lacey and be a top 25 class nationally while maintaining our hold on the state's best players. Look, I really want a 5 star guy too, but I'm not going to go all gloom and doom if we don't. We have a shot at a really good class no matter what. Plus, the class already includes Giddens.

Again, I have no earthly idea if it's true or not. Avery was in town with Jack Doss yesterday talking to a large group of people hinting that there's someone there in town he was there to see. So it didn't sound like Avery thought he was gone. Let's just see how it plays out.

I will say, though, that if this just happens to be the one year ever that Sleazipari strikes out on most of his top targets and has to come chasing one of ours, then it's a bit unlucky on our part.

I looked all over the place on the Kentucky boards and didn't see anything about Petty committing. No one even hinted about it. I could've easily overlooked it or missed a forum but I didn't see anything where I looked. I'm not giving up on Petty yet.

So how do y'all feel about the 2017 class right now? I was very optimistic but now I'm getting nervous. I haven't given up tho and won't. But Sexton is being recruited hard by Kansas and Kentucky is going hard after Petty now. The only 2 commits I feel like we have a almost guaranteed commit from are Reese and Herb, and those aren't for sure. Landing Reese, Herb, and Hammonds would be good but that's not good enough to attract 5-stars. I guess we'll just have to go out there and win with the players we do get and show that we can be good at basketball and then hope for the best after that. Idk, I'm just a little nervous now. What are yalls thoughts?
