I know a couple players that are considering them that I would like to play with.

I imagine one of them is Sexton since they played USA ball together. Kind of interested to know the other(s).

I came into the classes recruiting cycle with high hopes, and they continued all the way until a couple of weeks ago....

today....it feels like it's going to be a big flop. GET....SOMEONE....ANYONE....ON-BOARD....!!!!!!....

We have a ton of recruits that have us in their top 5 or top 10 that just haven't picked yet. It's not a flop until all of those tell us no and we have to go to plan B.

So you've gone from greatest class ever to a big flop when no information has changed? I don't want to be your advisor, but get your shite together man.

Watching the Alabama-A&M game from last season. Wish they would have shown the ND game instead, but man I remember going crazy in Coleman after he missed both FT's.

It'll be interesting to see if our coaches participate. It'd be an even easier way to see who we are recruiting

Haha I thought of the same thing after I submitted that message, you're probably right man this may have been a little overboard lol...

But honestly, I think a few things have changed since then....

* The big basketball insider guru (Jerry Meyer?) came out and said he thinks other basketball powers may be a bigger threat to Alabama for Collin Sexton than he originally thought..

* Without being in on the meetings, I think we can accurately gather that we are slow playing Herb Jones, and might be waiting on bigger fish, which in my opinion, is playing with fire...

* A lot of UAB rumors with Alex Reese

My post was a little out there admittedly, but truthfully my confidence lever for an epic class has gone down slightly. I hope I am wrong.

I understand what ur saying. But here's how I see it. Someone will commit soon, idk who, but someone has to. Once that first player commits, then the dominoes should begin to fall and we should hopefully land a few more commits. This should work really well especially if our first commit is Sexton, Petty, or Brown.

Well if it makes you feel any better, Ferguson committed around this time and we see how they ended up. I'm fine if we don't have anyone on board yet. Just make sure they sign.

I'm not worried in the least bit about Reese. If Auburn was pursuing him, than I would. UAB? No.

Auburn is pursuing him. He just currently likes us and UAB better. Hopefully his girlfriend being at UAB won't be too strong of a pull.

God y'all are going to be miserable all the time if you expect us to recruit at a high level. Like 10 of the top 50 have committed already, one because Washington hired his father, and others will probably change their minds before the officially sign.

Duke and Kentucky don't have commits right now. I doubt their fanbases are getting all antsy about it.

Duke and UK don't have to worry. They will turn kids away. But we are Duke and UK in football. If CNS and Alabama come calling one of our recruits, i.e. the QB out of Jax, we're screwed. That's where we are with Sexton now. Trying to hang on to a kid we desperately need but the big dogs are calling him.

Coach Avery needs some good news right now. We need a kid to pull the trigger just for the positive vibes. I hope we get one soon.

I think it's pretty rare for the top basketball guys to commit early. If those are the players we want, we'll probably have to wait like everyone else.

Yeah. This isn't the 60's. You can't kidnap someone and force them to commit.

This Evan Daniels poll of 106 college coaches, suggests Sexton is the runaway, best scorer in HS. He received 38 votes which is 26 more votes than 2nd place. He also received 3 votes as best defender. Interestingly, he didn't receive any votes for the third and final category, best overall. Not sure I understand how that happened... The 3 that voted him as the best defender must really love rebounding.

If we somehow convince a 5-star from Las Vegas to come play basketball at Alabama, that would be the most impressive recruitment in school history.
