All depends if we can get consistent guard play and get a better offensive threat in the paint. I'm confident Dazon will be fine at PG though. He's pretty physical, knows how to get to the bucket, and can push the ball up court.

Hall and Taylor averaged closed to 2 blocks per game. So defensively, they're fine. What's bad though is Alabama still allows second chance opportunities. If Alabama is going to compete in the SEC, they have to get better on the backboards.

Ultimately, with news additions, I think Alabama can improve from the 18-win season last year. I just don't know of they'll be good enough to make the tournament. I have faith that Avery will get us there though.

OT: but can you imagine if the Warriors land Durant?

They'll win it all next year if they do. They'll be the most dominant team by far. That would be like us getting Sexton and Petty

Edit: He went to the Warriors. Wow.

Barf... that move was spineless. Not to mention hypocritical...

Actual tweet from KD 6 years ago...

As far as superstars go, KD was probably my second favorite before this, after Curry. Now I'll be hoping they fall flat on their faces. Not sure what Durant thought this would do for his legacy...

I don't really pay attention to the NBA that much- although I did get caught up in the championship once the Cavs evened it up. I'm talking about watching it purely based on the talent and skill. This does give me some flashbacks of LeBron joining Bosch and Wade with the Heat

Steve A. Smith is ballistic right now on SC.

I really hope we find out the non-conference schedule this week. Last update we had from Avery he said it would be sometime after July the 4th

BamaMag did an interview with Sexton's HS coach and he delivered some good news IMO: he was adamant that Sexton will sign in the early period.

It's pretty comical that they have Green on their SL roster. They must be pretty damn desperate for some sort of title.

Ahem I think you mean defend their summer league title.

No idea why he is playing on it. If it helps him learn to play without fouling I'm all for it.

eta: The Rockets having Michael Beasley on theirs is probably a bit worse...

He's not a proven rotation player like Green is. Green played in 78 games with them and he started 15 of them. Baffling why he's on there.

I hear you but no way Beasley should be playing Summer League. He has been in the league far to long

There's several older players that participate in SL to prove they can make an NBA roster. Beasely is just a more noticeable name because he was a bust.

Pelphrey is with him watching Petty. Pettway is watching Alex Reese, Jamal Johnson, and Garrison Brooks.

Coach Avery needs to hit a home run with this recruiting class. I know it seems almost impossible, but I would love to finish with a top 10 class or even better.
