Yea, me neither. Thought it was pretty interesting. I always like hearing about those types of stories.

Yeah, me too.
Now I’m curious who else Avery has a similar relationship with.

Just think of it this way : we have Villanova in the Jefferson Pilot game of the week.

Off topic, but what was the guys name on Tidesports that thought he knew everything about basketball because he played JUCO ball. Lived in or around Tuscaloosa. I can't remember his name at all.

I miss Joe Dean and his string music calls.

That’s what I like. No respect

100%. Jefferson Pilot games are a fabric of 1990 until SECN creation SEC culture.

Yes I hated those games

Weren't the Daves mostly football though? I remember Joe Dean, Larry Conley and Tom Hammond, and maybe one of the Daves later on. But I grew up in the 80's. I can still remember the opening song and montage for those Saturday morning SEC basketball broadcasts.

2 of them, yes.
The basketball team throughout the years included Joe Dean, Larry Conley, Tom Hammond, Tim Brando and Dave Neal. Dave Neal has kind of been the constant over the years (and is at SECN now).

Pretty excited for wild eyed, locked in Collin Sexton on Saturday.
Big stage, #1 team, elite point guard on the other side..............

Loved him calling games.
We need to honor him with a lot of string music from Petty and a bunch of stuffarinos from Hall this Saturday.

Nova -11
From a logical standpoint, that sounds about right. Nova has the #1 offense, top 5 coach, and the team is led by a group of juniors.
However, as long as Petty is stretching the field. We have a shot.
I said that Petty was the x-factor going into the VT game. While he has to be consistent throughout the NCAAT. I am going to say Donta and the post game needs to be huge against Nova.

Galin Smith has an offensive rating of 178 last night. Donta Hall had an offensive of 201 last night.

I thought we matched their toughness last night and that's not something we've done all year.

I've said it before but he has been the best coach on our staff, this year. I am more impressed with him than I am with Avery.
