Absolutely they're a great team, but they haven't been nearly as impressive as 14-15' UK. That team boat raced pretty much every blueblood OOC. Their closest OOC game was 8 points @Louisville, and Kentucky didn't even win end up winning the NC.

With this team it can easily be 3-3, but we could get lucky enough to go 6-0. Looking at Rhode Island's schedule thus far, I know we can beat them, but not if we give the craptastic effort and performance like we did last night. I'm honestly thinking 4-2

He was on the bench during timeouts, not involved. Sitting and shaking his head as his team was making a comeback.
With the tweet he sent out, I'm guessing he's about to check out for Bama. Hope I'm wrong but his attitude last night was as bad as his play. The guy turned the ball over 3 straight trips and then wonders why he got the hook?
Sexton got the hook after a horrible turnover but went and sat in the chair next to the coaches. AND he got put back in. That's how you handle coaching.

I think it's easy to think that's what was going on, and you may be right. But, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt until I know. He very well could have just been frustrated because he wasn't playing well or because of his ankle. He didn't go back in the game. I didn't see the coaches get angry and yank him. It seemed more like he couldn't go and they sat him. He certainly wasn't playing very well. I wouldn't think he'd be happy with his play up until then. But, again, maybe you're right. I just don't want to label him another Shannon Hale until I'm sure.
*Edit I also saw him later in the game getting up and participating in the huddles, and clapping for his teammates.

It was a pretty ugly effort, but they hung around and made plays down the stretch. I know they have a good track record recently and a nice KenPom, but I'm not sure how good LTU is. They didn't strike me as a really good mid-major. Not bad, but definitely not really good (like UTA was).
Either way, better than losing.

Really? Ingram was easily one of our best players.
I mean 22 pts on 4-7 shooting and 13-17 from the line + 9 boards. What else did y'all want? He had a better game than Sexton.
Sexton was wildly inefficient until the final part of the game.

That's a pretty insanely good OOC schedule. Games like Lipscomb, UTA and last night are going to pay big time dividends when our guys get into tight situations in SEC games. Kudos to Avery for following the Gottfried scheduling philosophy.

Yea - he's a freshman who could have possibly been frustrated with an injury. And even if he wasn't, he's a freshman probably seeing real adversity for the first time in his basketball life.

Why do people keep bagging on Reese? I think he's played better than most of us expected. He's been better than Giddens, who, at the start of the season, I thought was going to be a beast.

I'm not gonna say he's better than Giddens yet, but I think people are being too hard on Reese also. He was the only guy who would cover the corner 3 when we went to the 2-3 zone. Boykins killed us on that in the 1st and then Reese stopped it in the second.
