I don't think Georgetown was ranked, but I'll guess 2011 vs them.

Minnesota player swings at Dazon Ingram. Bench clears, but doesn't get involved. The entire bench gets ejected, nothing against Minnesota. Ingram fouls out immediately. Petty hurts his ankle immediately. 3v5. We get down by 15 and then Sexton goes ape-shite on Minnesota through constant triple-teams and drops 40, and we lose by 5.

It got heated between Sexton and one of their guards. Their player got a technical and got ejected and their coach got a technical.
On the next possession, Ingram and one of their guys got tied up under the basket and looked like they were about to start swinging on each other.
Bama’s bench jumped up and were a couple of steps onto the floor. The entire bench gets ejected.
We play 5v5 for about a minute and Ingram fouls out.
With10 min left Petty comes down on a defenders foot and goes to the locker room.
Norris, Sexton, and Smith just camp out in the lane and Minny settles for long range 2s and 3s and they couldn’t stop Sexton on defense.

How does this happen?

So is Minnesota just the worst 3FG team of all time? How is it possible that between numbers in transition + wide open 3s they didn't just run you out of the building?

From video I guess they left bench and came on court in response to an altercation. Auto ejection for every player who does it

I think his question was more about how no Minnesota player was ejected at that point.

Honestly, it was like 9 minutes of "this is too open". They missed a few 3s then it was clear they were like "ok we have to move it around and shoot layups it's only 3 guys!". Then, they kept taking awkward 15 footers. They didn't run an offense because......who has an offense against 3 men?
The more incredible thing was the other end. Sexton just basically went playground and it was insanity.

This. It's the most idiotic rule of all time, and this should help in correcting it. If they get involved? Sure. Leaving the bench is an automatic response when one of your guy's gets swung at right by your bench.

They were very conservative, tried to run clock, and missed shots. Then Sexton kept driving through double teams and scoring.

I'm pretty impressed by how close this game ended up being in spite of everything. I'd be shocked if we dropped out of the rankings after that.

Except they shot the deep ball multiple times with more than 15 seconds on the shot clock. They got cocky and loafed around on offense.

Obviously the Bama 3 played out of their minds to come back and keep it close
... But did Minnesota just not give a shite or take them seriously to let them in? I'm just trying to figure out how the frick any 5 on 3 team has a negative pt differential
