I hope we get to the tourney, but that is not "the big prize." That's a bare minimum.

I think today’s game was something of a reflection of the season. Played reasonably well in the first half. Pull out to a 12 point lead and A&M makes a run. Suddenly, we tighten up and start playing not to lose. That’s when a good coach steps in, calms everyone down and does something to change the flow of the game. You start pressing full court or you slow it down or you speed things up and try to run, but you do SOMETHING to stop their momentum and their run. Avery did nothing but scream at the refs for a foul call. This isn’t meant as bashing, I’m just trying to make an observation. I think that is the problem a lot of us have with Avery. He’s very hands off. That might work with a veteran team but we don’t have that. Thank goodness Collin stepped up and took over.

I’m also hoping this gets the monkey off their back and they relax and just play loose tomorrow and that Auburn doesn’t play well. They really have little to play for except seeding. We’ve GOT to hit the boards better tomorrow. That was a killer and allowed A&M to crawl back in it today. We need to press our advantage there tomorrow. If we let a smaller more athletic Auburn team have a significant advantage on the boards, especially on the offensive end, we’re in trouble.

Thing about auburn is if they are shooting well we probably don't have much of a shot. what we definitely need though is out of Key, jones, and Ingram someone needs to play way better than they usually do. We get that along with good sexton and hall play we've got a shot as long as we don't get killed on the boards and blitzed outside again.

Our guards can't collapse and help the guys down low tomorrow. They need to stay outside and guard and then wait for long rebounds. Our bigs need to control the inside on their own.

How did you rupture your Achilles and how bad did it hurt?

Basketball pick up games couple hours before the UK game. Just jogging up court. Felt like I got hit with a bat in my calve. Less pain than an ankle sprain after that but I put it in a boot right away. I knew it was torn before I got off the court.

We need decent Petty, Good Reese, Auburn to have a below average game shooting, and Colin to play like hebdid today.

I'm scared to death of that happening to me. It has to just be a freak accident when they go. The recovery time is the scariest part though.

Recovery has moved to a more aggressive protocol in the last 5-10 years. I expect to be back in shoes 6-8 weeks post op. I had the surgery done here in Columbus at the Hughston Clinic.

Ive never had trouble with my Achilles before. I have good nutrition and mobility. Just a freak injury. My doc had 5 other guys younger than I (33) with the same thing in the last 2 weeks.

Crazy that Kobe Bryant hit 2 free throws after rupturing his.

Wow, that's much quicker than I thought.

The randomness of Achilles injuries is horrible. It's about as random as a dang heart attack. Get well soon and good luck with the rehab. Just power through it

How many rebounds did he have? I'd be more inclined to cut his minutes regardless though

His confidence I think is shot to hell although he was calling for the last shot on sexton’s drive.. Lol

4 isn't good, but it's pretty good for him. I just don't trust him. I'd rather have Herb in the game.
